I got started with all of this because my grandfather was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, "cancer of the plasma cells in bone marrow." Now my whole family is on the Be the Match registry for bone marrow and tries to donate whole blood, plasma, or platelets regularly. I wish we had started sooner and that it hadn't taken…

You are incredible! :)

Thanks! Part of looking tiny is knowing how to pose and at what angle to hold the camera and to aim your body... the other part is using self-tanner. Yes, I cheat in pictures. Hi, my name is Brady and I'm a picture cheater. At least I don't photoshop them! I figure it this way, if I take my "progress" pictures and…

I am 6'0" tall. And thank you, everyone! This is something I know I would never have been able to do on my own. If it wasn't for the community here, I think that by now I'd probably be closer to 215 than 170 and I'd have outgrown half my clothes and felt miserable every morning when I woke up. So, thank you!

Hey, thanks! I love it, too. It shows off the good parts and hides the bad ones! LOL

Ditto on this. Make sure he is following every rule, as closely as possible. Get an attorney to get statements from the staff wherever the visitation is taking place that they have never witnessed any similar behavior, and mentioning the good things he does as a father. Unfortunately, the word of the mother of someone…

Thank you everyone, kind words are always nice to hear and they keep me going. I am 6'0" without shoes.

If we get more calories for that, can we count wearing high heels as exercise? After all... they do work your calf muscles. :)

I also learned from singing lessons! I also used to teach it to all of my cheerleaders as it helped them to yell more consistently. Keep your shoulders in place and breathe by inflating and deflating your stomach, like a balloon. I find it is easier to do when inhaling through your nose.

While I have no information on post-surgical needs, I can say that if you are going to be using your running bras fairly frequently (i.e. three or four times a week) it's possible that they may actually wear out by the time you're ready to start running again nine or more months from now. Most bra manufacturers suggest…

Just found a new sports bra on Saturday and I love it so much that I'm wearing it to work today. It makes a great t-shirt bra, too. It's rather expensive, around $62, but sooooooo worth it! It is the "Energie" by "Le Mystere" and it comes in black, grey, and white. http://www.zappos.com/le-mystere-energie-sport-bra It has…

You look absolutely wonderful, and in your after picture you look more like a two than an eight - amazing!

Grinds my gears: When people suggest that I must be using illegal drugs in order to lose weight because they think "no one loses weight just by trying to be healthier." Get with the program people, it's called watching what you eat! Makes my day: When the new jeans I just bought a month ago are now so loose on me that I…

He sounds like a very wonderful man, and you are a loving and devoted wife. Just remember to love yourself just as much as you love him.

[quote/] That is really why I am stressing over having some kind of realistic goal. [/quote] See, you're stressing about it! If your husband loves you and is willing to risk your life for your current weight, I don't think his impression of you is going to change if you don't meet the goal of 112. What he WILL most…

Don't stress about the goal weight right now, re-evaluate after you've fully healed from the surgery and all the swelling is gone. In terms of cup sizes - a D really isn't all *that* big. It's only about 6 ounces more weight than a C cup. The most purchased bra in 2009 was a 36DD. So, you're going to have completely normal…

I love, love, love the people at the Graceland Wedding Chapel. They are so nice, and the interior is really quite lovely. I know you said you didn't want Elvis, so you might call to see if the Elvis outfit is optional. The gazebo outside is great for taking pictures. As I recall, the name of the Elvis/owner is Brendon Paul…

I am in agreement with you on this one. I don't think MFP is appropriate for children. What I'm saying is that if a parent really wants thier child to be on here, a restricted access membership might be a better idea. For instance, the calorie goals would be inaccurate, but the nutritional food content database would be…

What about a level of membership with parental controls where a child's parent could set up a restricted account only allowing access to certain areas of the site to keep the kids away from predators? I was almost the victim of an Internet predator at 15 so this is a soft spot of mine.

I have mixed feelings about this because I am relatively "new" compared to many people on the board, and because I have lost what could be considered a large amount of weight in a short time. So my first thought is to be offended, but then I realize that I do not have the mindset that you're talking about, and that I try…

Although I don't have children of my own, I have had hundreds of "kids" throughout the years when I worked in the school system. And the one thing I learned was that a response that will soothe one child, will infuriate another. So I think the only person who can answer that question is you, because you know your daughter…

There are literally 25 to 30 homeless people nightly on my block. I just happen to live right smack dab in the middle of most of the city shelters. Many of these people are mentally ill, alcoholics, drug addicts, or all of the above. This may not be the case in your area, but if it is, just remember that someone who isn't…

I thought the exact same thing! I was wondering if it was anything like "Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago" from Ferris Bueller's Day Off... I think "So effing 6" is way better though!!! Mine is a nickname I have... some people call me "The Brady Method" or "The Brady Effect," since my name is Brady. Sometimes it's…

I believe the math says that men in the US are most attracted to a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7... meaning that the measurements you have are attractive to men because they are close to 0.7 when you divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement. In other areas of the world, studies show that men prefer different…

Congratulations in making a good decision. Welcome. :)

Keep the hair long, you look great and don't need to lose another pound. And "looking" 170 and having height to "hide" it has nothing to do with anything. I'm 6'0" and I think you look great! You look appropriate for your height. As long as you're comfortable in your skin and in your clothes, who cares what the scale says?
-
I think that's hilarious!
-
Those are really great results. Keep up the good work!

Oh... and one dessert: Girl Scout Cookies. Ok, I'm done now.

Can we vote for a drink and a food? Because I'll go with beer and burritos... and I want one of both, everyday. Ok, maybe more than one beer...
