Amon Amarth & Korpiklaani for Bike riding, Danzig for weight lifting and the Ramones for running. Lol, cooldown with the Sisters of Mercy :p

goth/deathrock/metal actually :) good luck to you!

try some good fats :) a handful of nuts, poached salmon or avocado salad.

me, i like to go "cold turkey" on sweets, if i have some i'll want MORE ... this half-serving idea is great in theory but crap in practice, at least for me, perhaps you are made of sterner stuff. what's more important right now? the icecream or losing weight? that's something you have to figure out for yourself.

for the ladies asking about where i shop, a great place for "retro" style dresses is http://www.daddyos.com/retro/retroldy.html - they go up to 3x usually, though in the "after" pic i'm wearing a 1xl so make sure to check and double-check measurements. before/after pics inspire the heck out of me and i check this part of…

lol, no I do not work at a bakery, thank goodness! The first pics just happened to be the only one i could find where I wasn't dressed like an utter lunatic :) (I'm a super firm believer in that women of EVERY size and shape should dress as beautifully as they want to, and they deserve beautiful clothing)

a_reyes9288, 16 pounds is awesome! no secrets here, just hard work i'm afraid. i avoid processed foods as much as possible, i cook most of what i eat now. low sodium, very low sugar, no processed sugars if i can help it. lean protien (egg-whites are my friend), water instead of diet soda. really all the stuff people say…

i know what you mean, i get super obsessed sometimes (i had an issue a few years back myself, to the tune of restricting down to 600 calories a day - ugh). i've been dealing w/ my under-eating tendencies by trying to build muscle ... ik eep telling myself i need fuel for energy to do these workouts and to build muscle and…

i guess i'd be flattered but i'm married so ... i'd let it go at that.

i feel your pain! it actually helps me to keep it to one glass a day when i have to log it ... it's like, hmmmm eat 100 cals of yummy food or one more glass of wine? i'll take the food!

any other thoughs, i'm getting contradicting advice :(

Right now the only refined sugars i'm getting are from my twice-a-week Fiber 1 cereal breakfast :) oh, and my daily 1 glass of red wine with dinner. hey, i'm European, i don't think we can have dinner without wine ;p
-
nope, not yet. i make sure to get enough protien, but otherwise it just seems counter-productive. When i stop losing weight i'll up my calories but for now what i'm doing is working just fine - i'm losing a bout 1 pound a week.

20 jumping jacks 15 pushups 30 jump-rope 20 crunches 30 squats GO!!!!

i'm a gardener and i don't count it (unless i'm turning over soil w/ a shovel for like an hour - that's a strength workout for sure). if gardening was such a great workout my grandma would have been a world-class athlete. but hey, it's activity and every little bit helps!
-
lol, no! but i can't seem to eat red meat or fried foods without horrible gastronomical results ... so now i CAN'T eat fried chicken even if i wanted to. unless i want to spend the next day in the bathroom O_o

i've been borrowing fitness videos from my local library! they also do interlibrary loan for free :) just make sure to return them on time so you don't get hit w/ late fees.

is your doctor perscribing a low-dose of metformin? If so, i'd REALLY look into going on the medication. I was 220 pounds when i was diagnosed and it took only about 3 months (with a strict diabetic diet and taking the MINIMAL dose of Metformin) for me to go down to 175 ... I had tried losing weight before without the…

shoulders and back (no back-fat!!), i look strong :)

how about all-out strength training (going up 5 pounds w/ the weights you are using, then trying to do a set of 6 reps of your regular moves w/ weights going up 10 pounds in weight) ... muscle gain might break you out of the routine. plus running is always awesome, i'm trying to work some in too now. and congrats on doing…

i'm doing it every other day (ride a bike on "off" days). i can't even beleive i'm doing better on the cardio & abs bits than on the stuff that requires upper arm strength. damn push-ups. but i'm stcking with it - just at my own pace. did it today and finished pretty strong for level 1. hopefully after my off-day i can do…

i'm in chicago :)
-
not quite in ... i did it yesterday and today my arms hurt too much (from the pushups in level 1) to do it again so i walked for an hour and a half. but i'm hoping i can do it tomorrow, no matter how i feel i'm going to try! it's really tough for me though, i'm pretty darn out of shape.
-
never. i do like lifting weights and i like walking but not anything cardio related.
