From the Isle of Skye, one of the most gorgeous places in the world. If you haven't visited yet, please try to. It will take your breath away! Further north than Newtonmore, but well worth the drive. Probably about 4 1/2 hours drive from Glasgow up through Glencoe....much more when you do it first time as you'll have to…

Thanks!!! You too.

Fab, thanks!! I'm actually from Scotland, the Highlands, hope you're enjoying our weather!! I'll send you a friend request. Welcome to MFP, this place is addictive! :)

I know the topic has been done to death, but when I started on here I was eating all my calories back and losing b**ger all. I then started eating jless despite the exercising and was losing a pound a week and more and was not at all hungry!! Then I got confused because of all the forum posts and asked the question and was…

Great question....if anyone has a good answer I'll take it. I hate it when people say, - oh, its only one day, why are you worrying about it?? - because its not just one day. Its the Christmas parties beforehand; the family arriving days before the day with truck loads of Christmas chocolate; Marks and Spencer selling the…

There is nothing wrong with having something to eat at the cinema, I don't see why you need to have nothing, as long as it isn't chocolate or toffee covered popcorn. I sometimes make plain popcorn and take that so that I wont be remotely tempted to buy the cinema stuff. If that is your treat for the day, you have the…

This is exactly what I have and I agree it probably is the best for an Indian meal out. Stay well clear of samosas and pakoras and anything fried etc too, they are ridiculously high in calories...so I found out to my cost recently

I have homemade soup most days for lunch. This is my fav: Roasted Red Pepper Soup (makes about 5 portions. approx 100 cals per serving) 4 large juicy red peppers 1 can chopped tomatoes 1 red onion 1tsp Sundried tomato paste (i use waitrose one but if you cant get sundried normal will do) 1tsp Canderel/splenda or similar 3…

Thank you for the stretching exercises, I'm going to try them at my desk now. My old personal trainer used to stretch me and thought it was hilarious that my arms didn't do what others do and kept telling me my elbows were in the wrong place, funny but it took us a while to get the stretches right. Thanks for the yoga tip,…

Some of these recipes sound great. As a veggie it's nice to get some new recipes. I'm heading to bed now but now that I've written on this thread I can come back tomorrow and give you some recipes I use regularly. Lasagne, Shepherds pie, Chilli and soups. Quorn is a huge staple in my diet (not for soup, obv.... ;-) )

Thanks Russell. Where do I find your blog???

Thanks for all the responses! I'm a little nervous about eating more but I think I'll maybe go up to 1500 cals a day when exercising, I cannot bring myself to eat up to the full amount. When I first started this I was eating up to my full amount (including earned calories) and was losing nothing. I'm eating 3 proper meals…

Well done!!!!

Being able to go into any store and buy clothes, without having to wonder if they do over 16/18. Being able to wear skinny jeans...comfortably My husband buying me a new wardrobe when I lose it all (whether he likes it or not) Feeling good about myself...the most important one!

I started out on this 7 weeks ago and have only lost 6lb (I know my ticker says 3 but I initially gave the wrong measurements when converting from stones to lbs). It was depressing at first as I was working so hard and was used to seeing 4lbs loss in the first week and at least a stone in a month. But this time it was so…

Me too! Not twice a day, but once a day. It's the first thing I think of when I wake up. My husband says he's going to throw them out. I'm going to try to limit myself to once a week. Someone suggested once a fortnight but don't think I can manage that

Me too....did you find out?? haha

WOW!!! Well done you!! :)

1. Buy a gorgeous designer capsule wardrobe (my husband will pay...of course!) 2. Get a boob job (maybe...if I don't chicken out!!!) 3. Get some very classy boudour photos taken

http://www.nordic-track.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_-11_11851_12702_19007_93301 I have this one and it's fabby! The best one I could find without re-mortgaging the house for a LifeFitness one!! In fact I even think it is far better than the LifeFitness ones. It's $799 but well worth the little extra to get a…

I have a cross trainer ( I think that's the same as an eliptical) but it's very good its a Nordic Track. Not massively expensive but one of the best I have found. Some are pretty useless and don't have a great range of motion. I do 30 mins on that, starting at level 6, then going up to level 8 and finally 10 and then back…

Yep, homemade fruit smoothie (with blueberries, raspberrries, strawberries, banana, fat free yoghurt and sugar free apple juice) for breakfast, homemade roasted red pepper soup for lunch and London Dairy low fat strawberry ice cream for desert in the evening (only 85 cals per 2 scoops!!)

I get that, seeing the measurements is more satisfying than the scale weight. I guess it's just about changing your outlook. I might start weight training again, I used to do it but stopped when my trainer left the country. I've changed my daily calorie limit to 1200 and am going to aim to do more weights aswell as cardio…

Thanks very much guys! I'll ditch the scales for a bit I think and see how the measurements look in a few weeks!

I have measured my chest, waist and hips, but I only did that last week. I guess I'll have to wait another few weeks to see any benefit from that. I wish I'd done it all at the start, including my arms and thighs....!!

I'm 5'4" and have been using this for almost 4 weeks. I've been going for almost my calorie goal per day...which is 1570 (and most days with an extra 250 - 400 for cross trainer) but I have lost nothing in weight. I'm a lot fitter and bit tighter but no weight has shifted. I'm glad I came across your post because I've been…
