What a bobble. I hope the OP tells me great job on my diary today.

If I feel tired then maybe. But the last thing I want is to be hungry and unable to sleep late into the night because I napped in the day.

I didn't realize there was a time limit for editing posts. So I have to repost instead of going back to the top which is kind of a bummer, but it is what it is... My Diary July 1st, 2013 6 pm - So it begins... ate dinner and began the zero-calorie stopwatch. Today July 2nd, 2013 6 am - Woke up feeling fine. I often don't…

Without going into posting articles from one science journal or another - because the more I read the more I realize no one can agree on anything - I'll just say that we'll see. t's an experiment.

High Intensity Training. I think. Maybe I am using the term wrong. Maybe it's supposed to be HIIT for High Intensity Interval Training. I'll be doing sprints and cross-fit type exercises. At least that's the plan, we'll see. Today should be fine.

I seriously do not understand it. Maybe I will when I'm older and all grown up?

This is simple. If you are under 45 you will wear a towel in the sauna/steam room and trunks in the tub. If you are over 60 you will be butt-naked and combing your hair while your balls rest on the counter in front of you. There is almost no exception to this rule. Hot tub? Naked. Sauna/steam room? Naked. I have found that…

You were dizzy by 10 am?

This picture is the answer to the question of what do you do for work? "Ab-so-lutely nothing."

She's fatter than most famous models, that's not up for debate, it's fact. But fact is not the same as fat. Is she fat compared to the average woman her height? No. Do the people over at the BMI say she's overweight? No. Is she bigger than most women her height in her profession? Absolutely. Kate Upton was born with…

Keeping a scale in the kitchen or living room may cause compulsive weighing the way keeping a fridge in the kitchen might cause compulsive eating.
-
LOL. In this forest of excuses this advice is much needed wildfire. Love it.
-
Ha. Some of these replies made me laugh. For the record I don't own a scale and am not suggesting people should be weighing themselves naked in the kitchen. Can you imagine all the poor traumatized children?
-
I'm confused.

Again and for the last time, because this thread is worn thin. I suggested an average of 1200 calories/day on AVERAGE. One day of limiting calories below that number is not the beginning of a downward spiral that inexorably leads to Dante's 9th circle from which there will be no return.

Unbelievable. This is fat-think at it's best. "I don't want to skip three meals in a row because even though I need to lose 20-400 pounds, my body might burn some muscle." Truly the type of rationalization that has gotten the best of all us at one point or another, which is why were are here. But now that we are here…

Okay. I don't want to be misinterpreted. I do not advise anyone to eat 17 calories a day for life. One, it is very hard to find foods that are easily portioned out to exactly 17 calories--it must be hard because if it were easy everyone would do it. But the main reason I don't advise it is because, like you said, it would…

I'm not sure what your point is. If it's just a statement unrelated to this conversation I absolutely agree with you. One can be in great shape, eat more than a bird, and lose weight. But that wasn't the issue. We were talking about what she should do to kick start her weight loss again. I only pointed out that people tend…

The reason I disagree with you is not because I'm not a cat person, your profile picture is that of an obese cat, or because you said she's "eating so little and exercising so hard" as though we were living on another planet where that was a bad thing. It's because 1200 calories is sufficient, she's not starving (obviously…

I agree.

Why does it seem like whenever someone has this type of post that there are always people whose answer is "eat more!"? How about eating less? Eating less or exercising MORE at still 1200 calorie intake will force your body to start using the resources it has, and then once it does ramp back to 1200. At the OP's exercise…

When you hear it is unsafe to lose more than 2 pounds per week, that number refers to calorie deficits, not necessarily scale-weight.
-
Haha. Well judged.

I have a Flex, this is my Amazon review that I wrote. Hope it helps. Expectations: the flex will track your number of steps and, once calibrated properly, give you a great estimate of distance traveled for the day. It will also guilt you into walking on days you planned to ooze into couch-cushions. Looking at the white…

Poor turtle? What about the poor snake?
-
This I absolutely agree with.

I have the Flex and have been very happy. It's comfy and most of the time i forget that i even have it on. You can shower with it on and is rated to 30ft under water. I mapped out a 5 mile walk on mapwalk.com and when I got back my Flex thought I had gone 5.08 miles. That's pretty close in my opinion. I say Flex.

This thread is funny. Very.

Who said you can't eat less than your BMR?
