I don't eat at McDonald's, BK, Wendy's, or Taco Bell. The smell is putrid and the food doesn't taste good to me. My GI tract doesn't like it either (Crohn's fighter). However, I will eat at Panera, Cosi, and Chipotle.

Just an FYI that there's no reason to eat low-carb unless you have a medical condition that benefits from eating a low-carb diet. <---- (Ignore this… I just saw you have PCOS) If you want to eat low-carb for the heck of it… by all means… but it isn't all that enjoyable. For a low carb diet, you will need to cut out…

3 am?! :o God bless you!

Unless you got that 'diet' from a registered dietitian, don't follow it. MD's do not have a proper nutrition background. Also, do you have any medical conditions?

It's $8 where I am. Still buy it though because it agrees with my hypoglycemia

Nah, you don't. If you did, you'd be losing weight.

If you didn't have a metabolism, you'd be dead. Also, I highly doubt you are burning 500-700 calories per hour of bike riding. Lastly, if you do not weigh every individual item, no, you do not know how much you are eating or how much it weighs.

Breakfast: 160 grams egg whites, 1 whole egg, and veggies… make into an omelet. Serve with bacon and fresh fruit Morning snack: Greek yogurt with berries Lunch: 5-6 oz chicken breast, sweet potato, green beans Afternoon snack: 1 oz cheddar cheese and multigrain crackers Dinner: 5-6 oz salmon, brown rice, asparagus Late…

Do you have a life-threatening medical condition that requires an extreme caloric restriction in order to get the weight off as quickly as possible? If not, find a new doctor.

No reputable dietitian would ever put someone on a 'no sugar' diet because unless you aren't eating fruits and vegetables, you are eating sugar. Chances are you saw a NUTRITIONIST who fed you this bologna. You've been seriously brainwashed. You don't become insulin resistant simply by eating bread, sugar, and alcohol. It's…

Binge eating is an eating disorder and can only be treated by a professional. Seek psychiatric help from a therapist specializing in eating disorders (particularly binge eating, if possible). The problem is not food; the problem is your mind. Therapy will help that.

They might feel like crap with a blood glucose of 71 if their glucose is normally 120-150, however, it still wouldn't cause them to pass out. Besides, if OP had an average blood glucose between 120-150 on a regular basis, that is a sign of diabetes and it most likely would've been caught by now in routine blood work. A…

Whoa whoa whoa. Advising someone to eat glucose tablets when they don't even know whether the issue was their blood sugar is not a good idea. This is the first time the OP has had something like this happen. She didn't even show a reading of low blood sugar. There's really no reason for her to carry glucose tabs unless she…

That's all that matters! How YOU feel about yourself and how YOU treat yourself. You've already taken the first step to lose weight… coming to MFP! Continue to log your food consistently, weigh your food using a food scale, and the weight will come off. Remember that your weight doesn't define you. A person who makes rude…

These "teas" act like a laxative. It's a normal reaction. This is your health anxiety talking and exactly why you shouldn't waste your time or money on such a product.

If you want to risk testicle shrinkage, sperm reduction, permanent baldness and gynecomastia, then go for it.

Sorry but a blood sugar level of 71 is NOT low blood sugar. That is perfectly normal. I can assure you you did not faint because of low blood sugar. I have chronic severe hypoglycemia and drop into the 20s on a daily basis. It is close to impossible to faint from low blood sugar until you are below 30 mg/dL. So you will…

That's not true at all.

You have 10 lbs to lose; 5 of which you've already lost. No reputable doctor will prescribe prescription diet pills to you. And the 'diet pills' you can purchase OTC are unsafe, not regulated by the FDA, and can cause dangerous side effects.
-
I think that your coworkers are sensing your insecurity about your weight… Treat yourself the way you want others to treat you. When you are confident in your body, no one can tear you down.

You need to seek psychiatric help from a therapist who specializes in eating disorders (specifically compulsive eating, if possible). The problem isn't food, the problem is your mind. I know you don't have the money but the only way you are going to overcome it is by seeing a mental health professional… A book isn't going…

Based on how many people are divorced here… marriage is for the birds.

30% carbs is not low carb. You aren't feeling the way you do because of your carb intake..
-
El oh el. MOST people use glucose and insulin efficiently… So a blood sugar and insulin spike doesn't apply in that case.

Poon diet? This is the first time I've heard of it………. I quickly checked out the website and was immediately drawn to the comment "Dr. Poon's blah blah blah is about what to eat rather than how much to eat." You see, this type of thinking is incorrect. Weight loss comes from a calorie deficit. How much you eat is what you…
