tflorence1 is also on ours :-) Team Perseverance - I'll check with her :-)

Just to add too, we've put the rower together and we're quite happy with it having both given it a test run. It was a York Aspire, it's not as smooth as an air resistance rower - but at 149 pound I wouldn't expect it to be perfect (and it is smooth enough, not juddery or sticking.) There are reviews on the Argos site to…

(of course it would have helped if I'd mentioned - it was from Argos!)

Hiya - no recommendations from me I'm afraid but we got a half price rower today - they've got some decent names in their half price sale x

I'm also happy to be a captain too :-D x

Hello! So sorry I'm late, a busy day and I haven't been around much - could I join too? Thank you! x
-
I think you have it there exactly! Congratulations - and feel free to be thinner than me - I'm sure you look and feel fantastic, well deserved!

Hello! I'd love to join! My motivation is struggling after Christmas, and not de-railing totally! I'm Vanessa, I'm currently at 154 lb goal, my goal for 90 days would be a loss of 7 lb which will be a push as I'm not far from goal - but the push I need! I also need to be doing two strength training sessions a week, doing…

Hi Jane, I'm on week 3 Bridge to 10k, and have slowed down substantially - so still at about 5.1 miles taking out the walk at the start and end (not sure why - maybe the cold wind??). Anyway, I'd say that although my B210K plan is 5 weeks long it's going to take me until week 8 (haha) to be doing 10k in under an hour. I…

Yes, most definitely the first ten minutes for me - toxic 10! Yuck - I definitely want to give up!
-
You're my kind of gal! It's time to stop when I'm sick! Merry Christmas!! :-D

Out for lunch and drinks your treat. If it's generally your treat anyway, go somewhere nicer :-) Flowers are good too :-)

Would putting yourself to maintenance/eating your TDEE give you enough leeway for (necessary) naughty behaviour for the next couple of weeks - and giving yourself a calendar date to switch back to 1/2 loss again afterwards?
-
I like this too, listened to it the other day: http://nutritiondiva.quickanddirtytips.com/how-many-calories-do-I-need.aspx

I think you should do exactly what you're doing now Anne - what works for you and within healthy boundaries. Grown ups with an above average level of intelligence rarely need policing in my opinion :-) x
-
Awww you don't need to do this, next time post and we'll say stupid things until you feel better! Hope this week is a bit brighter for you xx

Get back on today! You can do this, and there could have been so many reasons for you not feeling it for those two days. Honestly, move on and get back on it, I blew it in a weekend in October, 3 days off and 3lb gained. I lost it in two weeks, I don't think it mattered at all in the scheme of things. Have you set your…

Yes they did, I said no, I'm just fat, thanks for noticing :-)

I'm not a touchy person at all (when sober, so full pregnant time :-) ) and was regularly belly rubbed by people when pregnant with both of mine. No thank you, hands to yourself. I handed out icey glares at anyone who dared.
-
Either I'm completely oblivious or I just naturally drift towards people who wouldn't say this sort of thing - can't believe that people think it's ok to say that sort of stuff! I'd say back I can fix my weight but you'll still have a vile personality, what are you going to do about that?
-
Enjoy doing kettlebell drills. Used to use free weights in the gym with my son - don't ask me why but I love doing drills and hate doing the slow controlled stuff we used to do. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
I'm a Nessy too! I'd say no, not from my own experience but from reading on here, many success stories from similar people. I definitely agree with starting on a programme such as C25K, it will help to prevent you doing too much too soon and getting injured and demoralised. I personally started on an elliptical, but if I…

Thanks Nick, I had been upping by 50 cals a fortnight, I can cope with a small gain while I adjust or a stay the same - 11lb to go says it won't be falling off tomorrow anyway ;-)
-
No, if I spent less time on here I'd be noticing how much time he spends playing his warrior game-thing, or playing electric guitar instead of doing his Uni work. Haha! I've rumbled him.

I think they probably get bored of defending themselves over something which is nobody else's business. I don't eat red meat because I don't like the taste, but I don't get anyone trying to persuade me otherwise. I've sat through meals where people thought they could lecture vegetarians and vegans, it got tired and old for…

Nice on Becka, I'll watch it tonight :-)

I ate to 1,200 for quite a while, and lost well. I'm 5 7" so a reasonable height. When I first went down to 1,200 (by MFP so I could lose 2lb a week), I saved most of my exercise cals up for a spike and would then eat probably 75-80% of them - I like to have a margin of error no matter what I'm doing (I am a bit of a…

Yes. Previous experience says no logging equals the start of falling off the wagon. I don't care what I eat and there will be a fair bit of overestimated quick adding, but the routine stays.
-
I'd say 10-12, slowwwwly improving - no pressure on for me as just a 5k booked up.

My normal method. If I'm feeling brave, I may go for just the 2 into 1, but it normally ends in failure
