Becca Thank you for the recipe. I must check out the cookbook. It sounds wonderful. I love anything with oats, notwithstanding Johnson's Dictionary. Wonderful pictures of your reenactment days. The boys look so happy and involved. A great way to bring the family together between deployments. We were BAR - Brigade of the…

I had a wonderful week with DGD while mom recovered from C-section and getting home ready. Baby did not wait until scheduled delivery at all so they were caught a bit off guard. She is tiny but another cutie and looks just like big sister. I needed a full day of doing nothing after the week of visiting, swimming, boating,…

Congratulations to both of you on your double achievements. Lots of good decisions to make. Just know that nothing is ever certain and we can always change our situation. You are resilient, flexible and responsible. In other words. A super woman. CJ

If the papers are to be believed, you may have lots of new Canadians starting in November. It remains to be seen how many will survive the first winter. Lol. CJ

Yes!!!!! Drum roll, please.

Allie It is time for a break. Go to a movie, go for a nice tea in a lady friendly restaurant, walk in the park or mall. ANYTHING for you, you, you. You need to take care of you before the blues turn ugly. Remember what the safety announcement on airplanes says about oxygen masks....caregiver first. It is time to start…

Carol It is so hard to see our parents in decline. {{{{{{Hugs}}}}} and strength for you. CJ

Congratulations on reaching goal. Now, only if you will turn professional painter. I would be willing to lay laminate flooring in exchange. Just saying.... CJ

Janet and Becca and Pip and Lisa It sounds like you will be turtles in the fast lane. That's the life. Someone asked here why I want to be able to live out of a suitcase. It is because there is too much I want to do and see. I may retain a small apartment or bedroom in a house I would rent out. I believed I mentioned a…

Karen I had a lazy, but happy day catching up with phone calls and dealing with remodel from afar. I love being home but preparing myself to go back to Philadelphia. Going back includes more painting, putting in flooring order (logistics with building) and having the O.T. return to the apartment to help OS learn how to…

I am so sorry about your sister. While addiction in any form is an illness requiring help and treatment, it is up to us to make the choice to ask for help. Your attitude spurs me to do better. CJ

What a wonderful tribute. At a time when teachers are so maligned, blamed for everything, and expected to perform miracles without adequate resources, it is gratifying to read that someone recognizes their importance. You, obviously, changed his life. Isn't that the reason we are put on earth? But, so few of us reach the…

Barbie :) The main reason that I use a dumbbell instead of a kettlebell is that Jake said that swinging a kettlebell looks dangerous but somehow he doesn't seem troubled by my doing the same thing with a dumbbell---so I swing away and don't tell him :) <3 Barbie
That is so funny. CJ

Michele Oh, Jess gave me this really nice gift today. It brought tears to my eyes. Michele in NC
Awwwww.

This is truly inspiring. CJ

This is how I feel. I have 15 to 20 pounds to go and my current weight is the new status quo. Realistically, I know that I had to replace most of the wardrobe, but knowing I have more to lose, makes me feel really fat, although I am not. CJ

Waaaay behind, but for a good reason. New grand baby arrived on Friday. I am now on sibling babysitter duty.

to all I am back, not that I really left. I have been busy with groups of adult scholars, and up and coming NGO leaders from Africa and Turkey over the last month. Lots of people to welcome, bid farewell, pack up those leaving after 6 months, drive to airport, store stuff, and host events such as Iftars (dinners to break…
