Seriously don't let 'them' change YOU. Keep doing what you do and if they are complete strangers some will be friendly and some wont. If they are people you see regularly (like at work etc) you can simply choose to never hold the door for them, say hello or whatever ever again.

I have kids. And I agree with you. I won't date anyone without children. 1. so they know what to expect from ME. 2. I don't want any more children in the future. It would stink to get close with someone only to have this MAJOR issue to deal with.

Ya I don't get it either. For one if it went down just like it was told he may not even have been hitting on her. And second, I doubt having a child is why he walked away. It was probably the attitude.

I'll go ahead and say it and take this into the "OH NO" direction of discussion. IMO if parents would teach more coping skills, including how to deal with bullies themselves there wouldn't be so many suicides due to bullying. Sorry but bullying has been going on FOREVER. And getting picked on is no reason to kill yourself.
