Hmmmm I prefer to just listen to my body and drink as much as it takes to make me not thirsty. Which averages about a gallon of water and 6-8 large cups of coffee a day, but hey thats just me. I'm sure someone somewhere knows better what I need, but haven't met or read them yet Thank goodness I have my own bathroom at…

Maybe a low cal creamer, or a flavored coffee? I drink it black and the stronger the better, maybe slowly reduce the amount till you get to plain coffee?

How unfortunate for her, interesting that on a site to lose weight we still find ways to box ourselves and reject others. I like having a diverstiy of friends with different goals. I have learned so much from so many folks. I like the positive synergy that happens here in MFP land. Having friends with different goals makes…

Very funny story and worth every penny of it! Rock on Brett!

Hope it all works out! I think that's great! I don't think we can control how it happens, if it's meant to be then maybe MFP was the connection. My wife and I lived at opposite ends of the same street and did not know each other existed. A friend kept throwing us together and 13 years later she's my best friend and partner…

Slice Cukes or Zucchini thin, slice a small red onion as thin as possible and set aside. In a big bowl combine 1/2-3/4 cup red wine vinegar, 3 (not packed) tbsp of brown sugar, 1 tsp garlic, 1 cup warm water, 2 tbsp italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste and 1/4 cup diced pimetoes. Mix well, drop in sliced cukes and…

You can use Zucchini and yellow squash sliced thin in place of cucumber in cucumber salad. Sliced about a 1/4-3/8 inch thick and grill usimng the spray oil which is near zero if you use it as directed on the can. We use the srpay oil and parmesan on thin sliced squash and then cook it on parchment paper at 425deg turning…

At 304 this morning so down .4 at least it's not up. I reset my ticker since I've been at this for quite awhile. How Stevll got his groove back!

Well I'm not blowing the doors off the scale, but it's coming off slow and steady. It doesn't seem to bother my loss. Not having it would stress me more and I'm a stress eater, so no coffee would slow it up.  Just the thought of no coffee is very depressing, I have to go make a new pot. :drinker: I average 6-10…

Pizza = high sodium, You gotta flush it out with lots of water. Did I mention water? And son't forget to drink more water. :-)

<<<<< my pic says it all so I might be biased. There was a piece on NBC a few weeks back that said if you drink 6 or more cups of coffee a day you are more likely to live 15% longer then non-drinkers. Who am I to argue with numbers like that? I drink it black and the stronger the better. It's my last addiction and I refuse…

Thanks sounds yummy!

Half it, remove pit amd fill it with Salsa, or hummus. I like it right out of the shell plasin as well. It's the perfect food. We just planted two Mexicola Avocado trees, can't wait for them to produce.

Sorry I've been MIA. Not sure what my last weigh in was. I'm at 304.4 this morning which is up 6lbs from my low of 298.4. Time to get back in the game and kick this pig. (not really as I have nothing against pigs, but it seems appropriate) Tim glad you're back in one piece and you now have a truck with A/C. Good luck…

Haha Thanks for playing along. I am trying my hand at writing again and thought I'd share a journal entry to see if my odd humor is user friendly. :-) I first did it as a blog, but it was when the system was up and down yesterday morning, so no responses. It came to me yesterday when we opened the pantry door that all our…

We have six kitties, (well really they have us), four dogs all share the same space.

Congrats! Great Job! You are amazing and inspiring. Thank you!

Just traded the 95 4runner and a 97F250 for a 2012 dodge ram 1500 quad cab. Wife said no more money into the old trucks, so I was looking at used and she said no more used lets go look at new. Who am I to argue with logic like that. I love that woman. :flowerforyou:  :smooched:  and an 07 Kia Rondo

I don't do ankle express. It's have to be one big mean bear to get me jogging/running. :-)

<<<<<<My profile pic says it best. :-) It's my manna from heaven. Over six cups a day is supposed to give you a 15% advantage to live longer over non-drinkers. I could live forever. :-) Addictions are bad I agree, but I'd rather be addicted to coffee then give up my upcoming 25 year sobriety date. :-):drinker: :drinker:…

First, congrats on 34lbs, thats awesome! My wife (hootsmamma) and I are doing it slow. It took some time, but we finally found a good eating pattern that allows us to enjoy and still lose. I took my goal weight calories and reduced it by 500 and thats my daily goal. I've been eating that way for a year now and it is…

Seriously? Hmmm most of the guys I know got them because they have meaning, I know a few who in the moment of a drunken stupor got one and it may have seemed cool, but ya know that story. Mine was to remember my mother and the line of women she came from. Cool has nothing to do with it, it's my personal memory that is mine…

Slow is good in my book. Been at this 18months and while the scale does not move, the NSV's (non scale victories) are more importane to me. Lower BP, dropped 8 inches so far off waist, dropped from 4xl to 2x in polos and a baggy 3xl in drss shirts and AC1 is in the normal. you are doing great! Good luck, stay focused andf…

 I am blessed. My wife is my best friend and she is awesome! We are on this journey together and it's been great! Love all her support and all her drive and courage. If I had just the strength and courage she has in her little finger I could do anything!  :flowerforyou:

Okay things have quieted down. Been gone last two weeks. Up 3.6 lbs. LW 298.4 CW 302. Good job all on your losses and I am finding I don't worry about the ups and downs as much, as my clothes are a better measure of my journey. I got good news last week. Dr. dropped my BP meds again last week and if all goes well by next…

The definition is different for so many. I agree with most of the posters here. As close to whole/fresh as possible and little or no ingredients you can't pronounce. For us we stil buy salad dressing and gluten free crackers that are processed, but otherwise we eat fresh and whole. We make our own Peanut Butter and…

Good for you! Don't sweat it. We are going to have days where we eat better than others. Ice cream is good for the soul!
