all our wedding party photos are like this. When this group gets together its a guaranteed good time. We could not stop laughing!

I definitely do. It's dark and cold and I don't want to get out of bed. I don't want to freeze my butt off changing in the gyms cold locker room after work or on the walk to/from my car wearing a tshirt and running tights. I am a big baby about the winter. I am doing my best to fight it this year though because I HATE HATE…

I had a very non traditional wedding dress that I loved so much! We got married in the middle of the woods so it just didn't seem practical to wear a big white dress (not to mention the fact that a big white dress is so not me!)

275 230 I'm 5'7" and I started at 281 and am currently 225. Feel free to add me.

So far I have only kept 2 things. The biggest pair of pants I have ever bought (Size 24W and they were tight) and a very fitted pinstriped vest from lane bryant that's a size 22 and at one point I was unable to button it. They remind me of the place I never want to be again. And someday I will totally take one of those…

Yeah that's true...but not 18 lbs worth. For most women it's 2-5 lbs during that special time.

1) Not knowing or having any desire to learn how to cook from most of my 20s and therefore eating out A LOT. 2) Having no concept of portion control. 3) BEER 4) CHINESE BUFFET (usually in association with #2)

Foil Packets! You put them together ahead of time then cook them on your campfire coals. We did this one the last trip we took and it was delicious and pretty healthy. http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1639,157176-230195,00.html My husband also put together packets that were just cabbage a little butter, salt and pepper and…

totally in! I've been slacking on my strength training lately. This is just what I need. I have a 12 hr work day tomorrow, but I will start on Friday!

It seems like ALL office type workplaces have a break room like this. I swear there are always doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes, etc in the break room or on the table at meetings at my work. I try to see it as a willpower test. But I also like that on the rare occasion that I am in the mood for a midday treat I can snag a…

You are truly inspiring! What an amazing transformation.

First off congrats to everyone on this thread that are recently married or soon to be married! I got married last August and lost about 40 of the 100+ lbs I wanted to lose before the big day. Was I at my weight goal on my wedding day? definitely not. Did I still feel beautiful, loved and unbelievably happy?? Damn right! I…

great job! You look fantastic!

I have been at it for about 2 years. For me it has been slow going, and I have gone months in that time period with no loss or spent weeks gaining and losing the same 3 lbs over and over. But I refuse to give up and I have maintained and that's what really matters to me. good luck on your journey! we can do this!

thanks everyone!

You look so strong and healthy now. Way to go!! I know how you feel. I am 50 down with about 80 to go! Stay strong!

Some people like giving gifts. Some people prefer to give cash. When my husband and I got married last year we put together a small registry at target for the gift givers and also put together a honeymoon fund at depositagift.com for the money givers and just had links to both on our wedding website. People gave what the…

I started running on the treadmill at 255 lbs and just like everyone else when I first started it was really difficult. But i think that is the case no matter what size you start at. It's all about building endurance, knowing your body and testing its limits. I went from barely being able to jog at a 4.5 for a minute to…

Ha! that's hilarious. My bingo wings do the same thing when I am kickboxing. Maybe someday there will actually be some muscle in my upper arm!

Great Job! I love NSVs especially when the scale gets stubborn. some of mine are: buying and comfortably fitting into 16s in the misses not the plus size section ( my whole adult life I have been between an 18W and a 24W) losing 7 inches around my waist and about 5 off my hips running an entire mile without stopping to…

I totally know the feeling, but the great thing about being a bride is you get to wear a big poofy dress which really is not a very revealing outfit. You will be gorgeous no matter what!

I'm on seasonale so I only get a period every 3 months, but I still get all the other symptoms of pms including the dreaded bloating ever month. I try to stay on track but I don't weigh in that week. It's too discouraging for me...especially when I am already feeling extra sensitive.

ha! I totally thought the exact same thing when i read this

Nice to see you here at MFP. I've followed your blog for a while now and really enjoy it. welcome and well done!

I don't really like the phrase cheat. It implies that I am doing something wrong. Like a few people have mentioned I eat what I want, when I want. I just budget it into my calories or maybe spend a little more time exercising that day. But I find that when I allow myself a cheat i go overboard with it. However when I deny…
