That's really gonna hurt while she does her workout.

Just fantastic :-) and especially well done on the running times! Really really excellent, highly motivating post :-D But agree with the others: definitely not a semi-success! Flat out 100% brilliant success :-D

0% fat Greek yoghurt :-), yogurts are what keep my protein on track (because other than the odd bit of tuna I don't eat meat or eggs).

OMG!! Quicklee tel meni peeplez! edit: seriously how on earth has that made the news? It's up there with "it's morning and the sun came up".

This. Also I sweat so much that I get freezing cold if I don't shower and change straight away.

I'm at a loss of 10kg (so ~22lb) from 72kg (~158lb) -> 61.3kg (~135lb) since mid-Feb with 5kg (11lb) to go. No one has noticed. My mum said I was looking really healthy the other day though so I'll take that as a win :-) Edit: it probably is the baggy clothes that make it hard to notice on me though.

Well done on finishing though! Hard work, late nights, no sleep, waking up panicking about the thesis, I loved every minute :-). I used to exercise as stress relief and was very very strict with my meal/thesis writing times. It was HARD and required more discipline than I thought I had. But got there eventually. Hope your…

You need help. 50kg is dangerously low for someone of your height. You seem to have developed an unhealthy attitude to food and weight loss. Please go and get professional help, and quickly before you do yourself some serious damage. Best wishes.

Hey, I'm not a student anymore but I just wanted you to know that I lost my original weight (just over 70lbs) whilst doing my PhD. I went from obese to "normal" BMI during that time. I have maintained the loss for nearly 5 years and am now trying to lose a little more (to make running easier). So just wanted to say: It can…

ABC = literally the worst idea ever. Eat at a sensible deficit and read: www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants

Not all of us are in this for the same reasons. For example, I really couldn't care less what I look like , I'm sure many people here would class me as 'fat' or 'skinny fat'. But as long as I am fit and healthy I honestly don't give two hoots what people in the gym say about me behind my back. To this end I have chosen…

Sign up for an event, this has always helped me focus. The fist one I signed up for was a 5km, I did no training, I jog/walked it and was overtaken by people who were much older/younger/more overweight than me, I was the last one to cross the finish line, it really brought it home how unfit I was. I swore I would never do…

Re #4: Gram for gram olive oil has more calories than butter so actually to lose calories I should swap all olive oil for butter not the other way round.

Losing weight does not equal happiness, that is something you have to work on separately.

Mine is: 125g (0.5 packet) Tilda microwave wholegrain rice - 158cal 100g tinned tuna - 105 cal (or 70g (0.5 packet) quorn chicken style slices @ 99cal or 2 quorn chicken fillets @ 90cal (45 each)) 100g cucumber (chopped into little cubes) - 15 calories 60g lettuce - 11 calories 1 tblsp low calorie dressing (I use Tesco…

I have practically no boobs left now :-(. On the plus side they don't break my nose when I'm running any more :-)

I've always had big, muscly calves from playing a lot of football when I was younger. There is no way I will ever have slim legs so I decided to work with what I've got and took up cycling :-)
-
This, I'm terrible when I don't have enough food. It takes all my remaining energy not to punch people in the face.
-
I do feel very sorry for people who are very slim. I have a friend who also gets called "skeletor" or get shouted at to "eat some burgers". It's not her fault, she is just built that way. For her to gain weight takes much more effort than it takes me to lose it for sure. It's such a shame because she's a lovely person and…

I'm very lucky that I usually have enough motivation on my own (with the occasional help sought for chocolate craving!). That said, my online friends from this site are an inspiring bunch! The run, cycle, swim, zumba, turbojam, 30DS, all of that stuff. Seeing their posts of calories burned or new personal bests makes me so…

Have you tried taking your dog to the gym? Maybe if the dog was wearing perfume that'd help too :-)
-
Oh, I thought everyone with two residences would be sophisticated enough to avoid perfume at a wine tasting. I guess that's the nouveau riche for you. What can I say, it turns out you can't buy class.

That was about 2 and a half hours ago so I think she's probably into the last 3 minutes by now.

Yep, there was a whole thread on it back when the OP was Catfriend25.

Hi, I swim open water for triathlons also (the longest distance being Ironman but half Ironman is my prefered distance so 2.4 or 1.2 miles depending). I have an Orca wetsuit, it's sleeveless because I find that my shoulders ache by the time I get to the run if I wear a full one, but there are loads of other good brands out…

Neutrogena concentrated hand cream. Because I cycle and run outside a lot my hands get dry to the point of soreness, so I put some of this on and they feel lots better :-)
-
Go for a run. I swear it's the best thing in the world for this problem.
-
Well done :-D excellent work on running the whole thing! I know I'm crashing the thread a little late but I just wanted to say that I think nerves are totally normal. I take part in triathlons (so there is quite a lot of things that can be easily left at home\not put out correctly etc), I prepare everything the night…
