  • Wow, what a coincidence. Our juicer came today. We got the Omega 8004. Plan to go to our co-op tomorrow and pick up some different fruits and veggies and some wheatgrass. Anyone have any tasty recipes?

  • I love my wii active. I use it about 5 days a week. Right now I am using the More Workouts- I do like this one better. I have started a 6 week program for the second time. I have done it wearing my heart monitor and for me the calories burned have been pretty close.
  • We are about the same age- 50+ I also love beer- Smithwicks is my favorite. I just use it as a reward for working hard all week and save the calories for a bottle or two......

  • I also live in a rural area.I guess I feel comfortable in my surroundings. I live about 8 miles from town and it is mostly farmland around my home. We have 80 acrea and once in a while I walk through our property but it is pretty uneven and I have to watch our for cow droppings. I prefer the country roads around my home. I…

  • I love using my wii fit,bl and ea. My husband and I weigh in every Sat. morning. I am waiting for it to some day not say "oh, that's overweight" We both laugh at it. Of course my husband's says "that's normal" He got to reset his goal to 0 weight loss- he really shouldn't lose more. I have a real routine down. I get up at…

  • :flowerforyou: Every year I give up coffee for Lent- just something I do because coffee is something I really love. I know that the first couple days I usually will have to suffer through some headaches but after that I am fine. I do drink a lot of tea. Last summer I planted a "tea garden" and make my own blends. I think…
  • Hi, I am fairly new to this site and just found this thread. It is nice to talk to and read about people from my age group. i think we have our own problems dropping some of those extra pounds as we get older- at least I do. I live with a supportive husband and 2 fairly supportive sons- one is nearly 16 and the other will…
  • I log everything. It just keeps me aware of everything that goes in my mouth. I don't chew gum or drink pop but if I have a hershey kiss i am sure to put that down. I also log all exercise. Sometimes if I am waiting for my son to finish getting ready for school I might have 5 minutes to run in place. I think I may be a…
  • This site is great. It has really been an eye-opener and motivator for me and some of my friends. It really helps to know what I am eating and how many calories are in it. It has really helped me decide what I want to eat and what is just not worth it. I started on this site about 6 weeks ago and am down @ 7 pounds.
  • How did you find the calories?
