I went from a 9 down to an 8, 7.5 in some shoes. I had to buy new clothes and shoes - it was horrible

My son is teenager-in-training 12 going on 13 going on 50 and he's allowed one - and only one - sport per season. Even though I think he could probably handle more, I don't want to see him that "scheduled". I like him to still have time for a pick up game of road hockey on the street with his friends or - heaven forbid -…

I'm currently re-building my Lego Death Star for the third time while watching DS9 on Netflix. Left the closet a long, long time ago!

I'm 45 - I know, not quite "early" 40's lol! Been around for almost 150 days - wow! And I log daily.

Sounds like you have a plan this time - good for you! I'm all about support and tough love when needed - that's why I enjoy MFP so much. The cheers when needed and the kick in the pants too :) Good luck on your journey - feel free to add me.

My marriage of 12 years ended 3 years ago. Since last June, I've lost almost 80lbs - not on his account, FOR ME. I wanted/needed to feel better about myself - and I definitely do now! Trying to lose weight to impress an ex is a type of motivation but losing weight to improve yourself is much, much better motivation.

After losing almost 80lbs and changing sizes 8 times, thrift stores became my friend! I've found lots of brand name clothes - some with tags still on. I bought a few "foundation" pieces full (sale) price but otherwise stuck with basics from the thrift store. There does come a time when bigger size clothes just don't look…

Had it done last September, wish I would have done it years sooner! My procedure took about 19 seconds per eye and I could already see better seconds after it was done. I'm 45 so I know at some point I will still need to wear reading glasses but for now, it's so great not having to wear any!

Very cool, thanks for sharing! I'm The Fluffinator (my cat's name...lol!) if anyone wants to add me :)

I have a trifecta of tabbies that rule this house. I love them all even though I'm pretty sure they're plotting to kill me

Fresh bread with a nice crunchy crust. I could eat a whole loaf. Or fresh buns. Basically any type of bread.

I started at 238 almost a year ago and now I'm at 159, hoping to get to 145. I'm 45 years old and 5'4". Trust me, if I can do - you can do it!!!
-
You all look ah.mazing!!! I'm 5'4" and I lost 75lbs-ish since June of last year - started at 238 and I'm now around 161. My only regret - not taking any "before" pictures. But, I think we all know what it's like - not wanting to be in pictures, scared to jinx anything. I do have a side-by-side comparison of my drivers'…

I totally know what you feel. I lost 75lbs and when I look in the mirror or see myself in a store window, I still see myself as I was not as I am now. I even had my drivers' license and work ID cards re-taken because neither of those look like me but I still see what I used to be. I wear a size 12 now - still working on…

The minute I grow out of them, they go into a bag and then are given away. I'm not going back to them. Ever. So I don't want them around. The only thing I kept was a pair of pajama bottoms - mostly because they are super soft and comfy - but also to remind me where I was. I can barely keep them up anymore and I will trip…

I'm 45 and yes, losing the weight isn't as easy as it was when I was younger! I've lost 75lbs and looking to lose another 12 or 13. Feel free to add me too!

Hi, everybody! I'm 45, just recently lost 75lbs, looking to lose another 12 to 13. I recently started running - very slowly but I'm running  and doing some weight lifting while tracking what I eat. I log in everyday and have an open diary - it's not pretty some days but it's all there.
-
I'm 45. Last June I weighed 238lbs and was miserable. I've lost 75lbs between logging everything I eat and keeping within a range, exercise (started with walking, now jogging and some weight lifting) and paying more attention to what I eat. I cut out all soft drinks completely - I won't even touch diet drinks - and what a…

Let's see if I can make this work: 75lbs difference... Wow, I can't believe how big I was in the first one :(
-
Yup, after losing 75lbs, I went from a size 9 down to an 8. Aw shucks, I had to buy new clothes and new shoes - it was tough

Hi! I'm 45, lost 75lbs recently, looking to lose another 20ish. Feel free to add me too!

Sorry, trying to do this on my Mac and it is not working... <sigh>

Winnipeg here too! Has anyone found spring yet???

I don't have any great full body shots but here is a side by side comparison of my drivers' license - 2 years and 70lbs difference
