  • Please don't turn this into an argument people. I was just trying to inform the people that do eat ground turkey so they don't end up sick or worse. Everyone has the right to choose what they eat. Be respectful of that please.
  • I think you have to go recalculate your goals though. As I have lost it kept it the same for me. then I went to change goals and let MFP do it instead of Custom and it was lowered then. So you have to go to change goals to get it to adjust. Then readjust your macros to what percentages you want. Good Luck!
  • Great post and article! So true! I don't even like to be friends with people that do some of these things. I feel if I don't say something to them I am not being supportive in their goals. It's a bad situation to have to sit back and watch someone hurt themselves. Makes me sad : (

  • I use ankle weights just when walking or doing leg exercises. It has helped with strengthening my leg muscles I feel. I have not experienced any negative effects from them.   • I agree. bottled, tap whatever I hate the taste of water makes me wanna vomit. I drink flavored water or tea that has no sugar calories caffeine etc. 0 everything so its just as good as water.
  • I log everything!! I am obsessive about being precise with every recipe. It's crazy sometimes. I would rather know exactly where I am at than guessing. Guessing is what got me to the weight I was at.

  • I don't belong to a gym but invested $20-$30 in some hand and ankle weights and just do all sorts of exercises with them. It helps that I can do them when I have the spare time during the week or when I am not working or going to school. Also cheaper than a gym membership if your tight on cash. Good Luck!
  • I was taught in my nutrition class....if you eat a high fiber diet it will help your body not absorb as much of the sugar you intake. So as long as your not going way over and you have a high fiber diet you should be okay. (as other people said as long as its not all processed sugar)

  • Your going to probably get some mixed reviews. Some people say they dont eat their exercise calories. But MFP already factors in a weight loss when giving you 1200 calories. And if your only allowed 1200 calories to begin with I would say eat some if not all back. Again a weight loss is already factored in to the 1200.…
  • Well Im pretty sure under 5000 steps is sedentary so I would assume if your doing over 11000, that would be at least slightly active but probably active. That would be my guess.
  • I agree!! It was an eye opener for me when I had to make a list of all my families illnesses or causes of death for a health class that made me realize I really need to get healthy to prevent those things from happening to me!! Now I am well on the right track!! Good Post!!!

What I do is try to keep healthy alternatives for myself to snack on when she snacks. Like watermelon or cantaloupe.
