I always eat more when I exercise, and I should! I didn't eat when my body was telling me to and I ended up on a plateau for 2 months. Now, I'm eating more and exercising harder because now I have the energy from food to do it!

Yeah but I think you also have to keep your body on its toes. It adapts very easily, so exercise does become necessary once it adapts to the amount of calories you're eating.

I am struggling with this exact same thing. I have been told by several people that I'm not eating enough and that I should be eating AT LEAST 1700 calories a day to see a change in weight. I just started Insanity two weeks ago and I feel awesome. I haven't lost any pounds yet, but I have lost inches from my hips, waist, thighs, and arms. I definitely recommend it.

I like what some of the others said. I mostly agree to still eating the yummy stuff, but less. You must let yourself live sometimes, or the diet becomes more of a punishment. This is not uncommon. I actually lost 4 pounds my first week with a goal of 2 pounds a week. I think maybe this is such a drastic change for the body that this happens. The answer to this one really shouldn't be how much you could lose, but how much you should lose in order to do it in a healthy way. You're really only supposed to lose 2lbs maximum each week. When you lose weight healthily, it is easier to keep off in the long run. That, at least, is my input on the matter. Good luck!
