I am 5'5 1/2" and my ultimate goal weight is 135 also. However, I am going to wait and see how I feel the closer I get to that goal. I may end up being happy at 140. I don't know yet. I suggest not listening to others about what you should do. Aim for the mini goals and see how you feel the closer you get to your final…

Check out The Biggest Loser dvds or Jillian Michaels workouts. They are all great and less than $10 each at Walmart.

I hear ya! I am 49 and having a difficult time losing the extra pounds too. I just keep telling myself, 'slow and steady wins the race'. It is taking me forever but I am determined. I wish you the best on your journey.

Sorry to say, you need that chest strap.
-
Just what I needed today. Thanks.

Thank you!

It's one of my favorite meals! I 'boil' mine in water too with the seasoning packet. Toward the last hour I add cabbage, potatoes and carrots! Yummy!!!! Don't forget to add rye bread and or Irish Soda bread to the meal. Enjoy! As an FYI...I believe the corned beef package also explains how to cook the meal. It gives the…

Before I purchased my hrm I always logged those types of workout dvds as circuit training.

I'd like to know which kickboxing dvd too, please.

I've only run a yearly 5K in my town so far What I learned from that race......Get there at least a half hour early in order to register, take one last potty break and stretch. Don't worry about running the whole way if you don't feel up to it. Plenty of people don't. I even see some people that walk the entire way. They…

Ignore it and move on. You don't want to fall into her trap and play her games. Those who are truly your friends will not believe what she said. She doesn't realize it but she is the one who looks a fool for posting the crap to begin with. Leave it alone.

709 calories burned in 30 minutes? That seems a bit high. Does your hrm have a chest strap? If it doesn't I would not use the hrm results.....just my opinion.
-
I don't believe you only burned 100 calories either.
-
Congratulations!!! You should feel so proud!

I did not skip days in between. I usually went at least 5 days per week. I repeated some of the intervals in that week instead of rushing ahead into the next week though. Do what you are comfortable with.

Google C25K. Once that 9 week program is completed there is another I think called Bridge to 10K.

Thank you for posting. Very interesting information....
-
I'd consider it 2......or even 2 1/2 or 3.
-
I have never heard of doing this. Very interesting......

I just bought Taste of Home Diet Comfort Food Cookbook about a month ago and I absolutely love it! Basic recipes and very yummy. Even my teenage girls who are very picky eaters have enjoyed most of what I have made so far. I found mine at Walmart too.

Oh my goodness. You sound so much like me. This is my second go round...which I started early Jan. I seem to keep losing and gaining the same couple of pounds. However, I refuse to give up. I don't go to a gym and it's cold and snowy/icy outside so I have just been using my workout dvds. I can't wait to be able to get out…

Good question. I have my own ideas but would like to see what others say because I am no authority on the subject.
-
Me too! I'm 49 and struggling to lose about 20 lbs.

Congratulations Lisa!!!!

Eat at least 1200 calories

Go for the next level! If you find you really cannot get through it go back to Level 1.
-
Give a couple of the recipes a try. I think you will like.
-
You should be so proud!!!! I can't wait until I am able to say I have run 6 miles too.

I have started adding foods to my recipe box and I also measure whatever food I put on my plate.
