I have both. From experience, if you use the scale for a few weeks you'll then be able to eye ball your portions and it becomes a useless tool in the kitchen. My HRM I use regularly.

AMAZING!! Here is me...but I don't to undies pix :) In this picture was was down 31 lbs with 23 left to lose! This morning, however, the scale kicked my @$$ for allowing myself to 'celebrate' my birthday last week and weekend by adding 3 1/2 to that :frown:

General tips: Don't just count carbs, count all macros. If you eat low carb, get where you want to be, and start adding carbs back in you're setting yourself up for weight gain. Drink LOTS of water!
