Except that we will continue to look for a shortcut or secret.

This needs to be in Unofficial FAQ.

I totally agree with you. But for awhile there, some people on MFP were on a self-proclaimed "anti-bullying" crusade and were actually going around to threads looking for jokes they deemed "mean" to someone and reporting them. But I am in support of your sentiment 100%.

Confirmed.

Quackery.

I don't understand people's negative attitudes about lip-synching. It is next to impossible to get a good audio signal to your television for something like that. It's hard to get good live audio for those in attendance. Also, most people cannot sing and dance very well. Many can do one or the other, but both at the same…

I think it will be true for some people. But it is not a universal truth. People do often gain weight when they get married, and it might sometimes be because they're not out in the dating scene looking for a mate, and have lost some motivation to stay in shape. They might have married a great cook, too. But I think…

Morrissey would disagree.

This. If you want to pay for packaging and convenience and/or you happen to really like the taste, I suppose drinking shakology isn't going to hurt. But it's a lot like paying $7 for a soda. There is a good comparison of supplements done by Acg67, I think, that needs to be in unofficial FAQ.

Because of the fingernails?

Big difference in a short amount of time. I'm guessing you worked pretty hard. Nice job.

I see what you did there.

On an Internet forum, correct spelling and grammar really only matter when meaning is lost. That's it. If you cannot understand someone - or misunderstand someone - because of a spelling or grammar mistake, then that's a real problem. Everything else is just a mix of annoyance, ranting, patience, overlooking, correcting,…

We were one of their very first customers in Austin, and used to be mentioned by name on their website. We've been using them for years. Great company, great service. We get the local farmers box delivered every week. Fresh produce from local farms, with usually a few surprises/treats packed in from local bakeries/shops.

I tried to market this diet with a friend, calling it Kill Whitey. But it never caught on.

Taking your ball and going home is the ultimate passive aggressive **** you. I have little patience for that behavior.

Sorry, this should help:

1. Take the chicken across, come back with the boat empty 2. Take the grain (or the fox) across, then take the chicken back 3. Take the fox (or the grain) across, coming back with an empty boat to finally take the chicken across the last time.

I disagree. Why wouldn't 'CHILDCARE' be another household expense? If both parties are raising the child, they contribute to the cost of raising that child. Having a kid in the mix doesn't change anything. It only adds more line items to the budget. A LOT more...

This stance is so much more reasonable than the billboards and the NO CHEESE EVER stance. You said it - cheese can be high in fat and cholesterol. But it has protein and calcium and vitamin mmmm too. Eating too much of many things will cause problems. Cheese is one of those things.

But that's just it - where things take a wrong turn. It's not about being right or wrong. It's about making educated choices for yourself as an adult. You sound like you are making healthy choices that work for you. It is possible your acquaintance is doing the very same thing. There is no one set eating plan that is best…

I'm too lazy to bicker about finances with my wife so it all goes into one big pile. Actually one medium pile that immediately becomes a very small pile when bills are paid. She is also smarter than me and may someday write a book that makes us filthy rich, so I pretty much keep my mouth shut about making twice what she…

Love Diet Dr. Pepper. Bought a Sodastream (http://www.sodastreamusa.com/) awhile ago and love their DDP-flavor Diet Dr. Pete (yes, seriously). I think it actually tastes better than regular DDP. Their Diet Coke is good too. Sodastream syrups use. Seriously, if you drink a lot of sodas, at least try to taste one from a…

The best part about this method is that whenever someone talks about recycling, you can usually one up them. Because that's what really matters: feeling superior about our choices.

Everyone knows blue adds a few inches.

OK. I don't have time to cite the hundreds of peer-reviewed journals that prove dong unattractiveness when flaccid. But you have to at least admit that if we are looking at these body parts sexually (and that's why they are censored, right?), only the man's equipment changes in the context of sex. It's not like boobs…

You know what would be fun? Instead of getting irritated or impatient by seeing these topics over and over, we could make a game out it. Something like MFP Bingo.
-
Agreed. Though I might add "word choice" and/or "clarity" to what it really comes down to. That is to say context isn't always enough if those discussing don't share a lexicon. In that article (as on MFP), the discussion shifts around from "healthy eating" to "weight loss" which are two completely different things. The…

It's not really fair and it is a double standard. But the dong just isn't pretty, especially in a flaccid state. Part of the problem is that it changes. When it is needed functionally it arguably looks better, but now you're stuck with a movie actor walking around with a hard-on and that just looks silly unless there is…
