I agree with the OP's post, and the post you quoted, and your post. Perspective. Nothing is that serious. Lots of us enjoy humor, heal with humor, poke fun at the absurd. I can laugh at myself. I might also laugh at you sometimes. Doesn't mean I don't care or that I'm "mean." Perspective. (it's a great ad)

This! What is it with that stupid movie?!?! If Point Break is on, I get sucked in and watch it EVERY TIME. And a little part of me dies each time.
-
Yes! There are technical solutions that would go a long way to helping people find information, not ask the same questions, etc.

Go into the conversation with a very clear agenda: END IT. Don't dance around anything. You do not want to be in the relationship. The more you explain, the more you give away for debating. Also.. The Road Dog RULES....

This is pretty common behavior. You do know that your weight naturally fluctuates, right? It's easy to get obsessive about the scale. If you MUST weight every day (or more), write down all your weights and pick a day that is your official weight day. Let's say Monday. Every Monday morning - before weighing yourself - add…

Yes it does. And he should start not wearing shoes too. I hope you like sandwiches.

Yeah, but you women get to have babies. Us poor guys are stuck earning better salaries for the same job and having much of the world think we're smarter and better.
-
Only weigh yourself when performing a hand stand on the scale. Trust me, you'll cut back the frequency.

Is this really going to end with you getting a solid solution from your doctor, you putting up with all the *kitten* we gave you for your post, then being good-natured about it, AND you're funny too? Where is the drama in that? ;) Glad you found an answer from a real-life doctor that you can address.

Name him Peeve.

Nice job. My favorite part? Your face in all the pictures. Just guessing, but I bet your attitude/outlook/sense of humor makes your friends and family glad to have you in their lives.
-
I will be your friend if you promise not to type lol again.

Glad you are going. I think it's the right choice. Gotta say, I think this is part of the problem - just like asking the Internet to diagnose your medical issues, getting a bunch of opinions to take with you to a doctor doesn't necessarily mean a better/more productive doctor's visit. Showing up with documented description…

Post Subject: Diagnose me please... Footer on every page of the forum: Posts by members, moderators and admins should not be considered medical advice and no guarantee is made against accuracy. Do you really want to risk it? Why *wouldn't* you go to a doctor? Even if someone posts the EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS it could be a…

Agreed. (with both assessments) To the OP: I like to preach using the Search function, but can see how you asked your question that it might be difficult to frame in search terms. Not a dumb question at all. I think the keyword/phrase you might be looking for is "maintenance" or "maintenance calories." Search on…

Just wanted to point something out. I sincerely believe that had you actually started this thread with "this works for me, this can work for you too" the conversaton would have gone much differently. It's sometimes hard to take in unsolicited advice. Here is your original post: That's not saying "this works for me, this…

I've done three Master Cleanse adventures (10 days first time, #2-3 11 days). First off, if you aren't doing the Salt Water Flush, it's not the Master Cleanse, it is the Lemon Diet, or Lemonade Diet, or whatever. You can call it a cleanse if you want, but the "cleansing" of the Master Cleanse comes from the Salt Water…

Damn. Totally different person. That is amazing. Great job. 86 pounds in 10 months? You rock.

Hmm... Methinks your sense of humor may win out.

I think you should have 12, then come back and start posting more stuff on the forum. Nothing good on TV tonight.

Good advice here. Be prepared, though, with ANY incident involving your dogs, for there to be breed-specific prejudice. It's varies in different parts of the world, but as a fellow APBT owner, we know the breed to hate/fear/ban for the last decade or so is the pit bull. So even though you and your dog may not be at fault…

Great point. I think word choice is important and affects how we think about stuff.
-
We are a touchy people, aren't we? What I say is SO important, and yet, so fragile, so please don't disagree with it. And non-denominational being of your choosing forbid, don't be sarcastic... You have lost 56 pounds!! F*** everything else.

I want to know why it's worth my energy to third this? Why am I expending the energy to agree with you agreeing with the earlier post you quoted disagreeing with the original poster? What is wrong with me? I needs a hug.

I have some shakes for a quick snack. I will sometimes use a shake right before going out to dinner - even though it burns up 170 calories, it does wonders for my mood/blood sugar and risk of over-eating at dinner. NEVER show up to a party/dinner really hungry.

There lies some wisdom in there. More often than not, I think we know what we need to do. We'll look for excuses or find someone or some article (it's on the Internet!) to agree with what we really want to do, and then feel justified for doing it. Not pointing fingers or laying blame, just describing general…

I love every bit of this. Thank you.

The best thing about getting rid of my TV is telling other people about getting rid of my TV.
