  • Nice, I'm sure she appreciates it too. If she's anything like me I like a little alone time once a month.
  • I do, especially on days I lift.
  • Which one? I go to 24 Hours in Aurora. There have only been a few times in the last two years where this has happened to me but I remember them all.
  • My instructor actually says that if you don't occasionally have balance issues you aren't pushing yourself.
  • When I started 20 months ago I couldn't do Child's Pose and breathe at the same time, now I'm doing Dancer's Pose without hold onto a bar. I've never encountered any judgment and my go to instructor is amazing.
  • ^True, I use the block feature when I find someone really nasty/crazy--most claim it's "the Internet" but I think most are just hungry (people should just reply with a picture of a Snicker's bar because I highly doubt they would ever say the things they do here to someone in person).
  • You can also just add it as you drink it. You will have to figure out which meal to put it with. You can also rearrange your meals--my order is Breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch, Afternoon Snack, Dinner, Evening Snack--not perfect but it would get you close to what you want.
  • Search "Wildtree Freezer Meals". you don't have to use their products, just substitute your own spices and oils.
  • Yes, it can be frozen. I recently made a lot and then divided it into 1/2 cup portions, froze it in snack sized zip-lock bags, and enjoyed it for about two months. It's time to make more.
  • Truth. I did 55 minutes of lifting tonight and came home where I ate two hard boiled eggs like an anaconda. I slowed down for the rest of my post workout meal but I barely tasted the eggs.
  • You only want to lose 20 pounds so .50 pound a week is great. That's pretty much where I am at right now (51 pounds down, another 20 to 25 to go before I hit maintenance).
  • Rum and Diet Coke (use a spiced Rum for a little extra kick): 84 to 97 calories depending on brand per 1½ oz. Sea Breeze: 4 oz. of Grapefruit Juice, 1½ oz. of Cranberry Juice, and 1 oz. of Vodka about 180 calories. Vanilla Vodka and Diet Ginger Ale: 1½ oz vanilla vodka then fill rocks glass with diet Ginger Ale, tastes…

  • ^Nice, informative, and based on her original question, great response.
  • Can you politely tell them that you are working on being healthy and not mention numbers or do they push?
  • Recumbent bike, it's where I do most of my reading. I also do Yoga, Pilates, Tabata, and lifting weekly, but my favorite is the bike...
  • Yes, and apparently they have a support group. http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2014/07/egg-fast-diet-menu-plan-low-carb-keto.html
  • You can add me if you want. I got off track with posting in September when I went to my brother's wedding out of state and didn't post at all when I went to his destination wedding in October (no Internet access for 12 days and I gained about 2 pounds while I was in China) but I'm trying to get back into logging everything…
  • Great advice. I do great with sliced bread but that Artisan French Bread from Safeway, well, that is tougher for me. I've been using more tortillas and found some great recipes on Pinterest that I really like.
  • If it is the consistency and the number that works for you congratulations. I was trying for a "forever" streak. I was at day 199 when I went to my brother's wedding out of state. I wrote down everything I ate but because I didn't have time to log on before I left at 8:00 am to start the wedding run around and decided to…
  • Be wary of the "Alot", they are a sneaky and treacherous foe. They cause weight gain every time... http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html
  • As the sweat (and I think a small tear) rolled down my face this morning during an intense workout with a personal trainer I thought the same thing. I also know I sweated a good amount of sodium out of my body during 30 minutes of circuit training, an hour of Pilates, and an hour of yoga yesterday. It was WAY more than "a…
  • I am 5' 10" and started weighing myself on February 23, 2014. At first I did 1500 calories a day, exercised at least 90 minutes a week, and ate back half my calories. On March 17, 2014 I decided to increase my calories to 1800 a day, still exercised at least 90 minutes a week, and ate back half my calories. By August 11,…
  • Me too. Yesterday I had two cookies--this was after a healthy dinner and 75 minutes at the gym. Last week I lost just over two pounds and I'm expecting something close when I weight in on Monday. The occasional cookie won't hurt my progress and keeps me on track overall.
  • Ah, the cleanse: Just don't. Unless it's a gift for someone you hate. By Christine E. Torokon October 3, 2012 Verified Purchase Oh man...words cannot express what happened to me after eating these. The Gummi Bear "Cleanse". If you are someone that can tolerate the sugar substitute, enjoy. If you are like the dozens of…
  • My suggestion, Google "eating the same menu everyday". You might learn some things that can really help you out. I agree with the people who say eat more, especially if you are going to be working out, and get a food scale.
  • It may take a little adjusting but maybe putting him to bed a little earlier will smooth out his mornings. What he will learn from this is consistency, discipline, that you are more than just his mom-you are a person with your own needs, and that extra energy you are getting benefits him (and I'm guessing it puts you in a…
  • What time does he usually get up/go to bed? My best friend's daughter just turned five but when she was three she was often up and ready to go at 5:30 am. As for selfish, if this puts you in a better mental/physical place I can't see how it doesn't benefit him too.
