  • I'm 5'4 and that is the only that I don't like about my height as well. Reaching the top shelf would be awesome.
  • Hoop dancing and I use the term dancing very loosely as well, I'm not really a dancer. I feel great. The calorie burn is okay and I get all those nice dancing/running endorphins. :) I used to be a runner. I used to play tennis. My knees and and ankles have begun rebelling lately when I try those things and hooping is a bit…
  • So mine are hooping related. 1. Be able to hoop on one leg. 2. Be able to hoop standing still in my smaller hoop 3. Chest hooping/Shoulder hooping improvement. 4.Three beat weave..
  • So last summer, I got pneumonia because I didn't take care of myself. I kept exercising when I was sick. I didn't go to the doctor fast enough. My advice. Rest. Otherwise, a few days break could turn into three months where you can't do any kind of exertion without breaking into horrible hacking coughs.
  • A friend of mine had a ceremonial burning of her fat clothes. (Which I thought was odd, but could be fun too.) I don't have any particular weight loss target, but if I can get back into my old clothes, that will be a massive victory for me and will be reward enough..
  • I don't want them either. I don't have the time nor the desire to maintain the level of fitness that washboard abs call for. Now, I don't see anything wrong with folks that want that and have the time to maintain it, but I prefer setting a more realistic goal. At 5'4, the BMI charts so my high weight should be 145.…
  • Get a better sports bra. Seriously, those of us that are a little more busty than others need a bit more support. I bought an Enell and I LOVE it for when I'm doing anything more high impact than walking.
  • I wish that I could be as awesome as some of the folks in this thread, but for me, I work out as often as my schedule allows. Some weeks, I can get 4- 5 days in. Some weeks, I'm lucky if I can get one day in. A couple of years ago, I was working out 6 days a week with a combo of weights and cardio. I felt awesome and…
  • I'm right there with you. I've been down this path a ridiculous amount of times. I'm framing it differently this time. Instead of saying "I need to be X weight." I'm saying that I need to be healthier and my weight will fall where it will. I've slowly over the course of 2 months cut out soda and my daily sweet treat. I've…
  • I remind myself that I'm not here to lose weight. Losing weight is secondary. I'm here to change years and years of bad habits and behaviors. Those are what got me to my high weight. When I change those habits, the weight should come off. While the weight is coming off slowly, I'm doing great in other areas. I eat a real…
