  • Get the app "Flipp" and price match as much as you can. It's honestly the way to go.
  • I get home late at night so I LOVE fast and easy meals. My favourite is pan frying meat with a cooking sauce (hooked on paprika sauce right now), and either frying up some frozen veggies or steaming them in a bowl of water in the microwave for 6 min! I also live off minute rice, tuna sandwiches, and pizzas made from pita…
  • Breakfast: An egg sandwich (light rye, one fried egg, one slice chicken bacon, 7g low fat cream cheese, 1 tbsp salsa, and some spinach) with some fruit and a coffee. This combo never gets old if I switch up the fruit from time to time, and keeps me full til lunch. Lunch: I like having an assortment of snacks with my lunch.…
  • 1) 24 2) 5'10" 3) 164 lbs 4) I work on my feet 35+ hours a week, and ride my bike to work. 5) 2020 6) One day at a time! Just hit your goal as many days as you can and the rest will take care of itself. It will all add up soon! I lose between a pound and a pound and a half per week.
  • 5'10! Started at 200lbs, currently at 164 lbs. My initial goal was 150 but I've got a pretty tiny frame and don't carry weight well at ALL, so I'm shooting lower. Last I checked, I was a size 13-14. I no longer wear pants though (just skirts and dresses and leggings) so I don't know my current size hah.
  • I don't know if it's due to my small frame or what, but I feel like I don't carry weight well AT ALL :(.
  • I told only my closest friends and the family members who live with me at first. Part of it is because I have friends and relatives who have suffered from ED's and I don't think it's fair to discuss calories around them. I also hate making people feel uncomfortable about their own food choices. I've worked at the same…
  • Just calories right now for me. I try my best to get lots of vitamins and protein and whatnot, but never strictly. At least for now.
  • I don't find that it's good practice to let things slide. I occasionally don't log spinach leaves on my sandwiches but other than that, I log my veggies. I eat several hundred calories of them most days so...
  • Mac n cheese. Chips. French fries. Those are the things I miss the most I think.
  • Coke Zero addict! I NEVER enjoyed pop until I started losing weight. It's so weird. I used to order juice or iced tea with my fast food meals, but now I really hate drinking my calories. So I switched to Coke Zero and now I'm hooked. I drink a 710 mL bottle almost every day. Aaaandd I'm bad and never bother logging it....
  • Meal. Less likely to ruin a whole week's progress in one go.
  • I fit enough junk and treats into my allotted calories. I have figured out how best to divide up my daily amount to be full and satisfied around the clock. So really, unless it's a rare special occasion, I have zero need to overeat. Like, it's seriously useless. I just look at my progress and stick to my calories as best I…
  • broccoli carrots onions zucchini bell peppers mushrooms spinach eggplant bananas peaches mangoes oranges frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts extra lean ground turkey or beef salmon fillets eye of round steaks chicken bacon frozen veggies (usually California mix) strained tomatoes sweetener packets k-cup coffee pods…
  • I pan fry salmon, chicken breasts, and steaks in bulk. Then I put a few in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. It takes BARELY any time to cook fresh meat. My favourite thing to do when I get home late is heat up a piece of meat, and then steam half a bag of frozen veggies in a bowl of water in the microwave (6 min),…
  • Heheheh thank you! I got it on Amazon for like $8 with free shipping ;)
  • You honestly just have to find what works best for you. I feel best with 3 big meals a day and a large snack before bed. Nearly every single morning I have a breakfast sandwich (light rye bread, one egg, one slice chicken bacon, some spinach, one tbsp salsa, half a serving of low fat cream cheese) and some fruit. This…
  • My ticker has my goal at 150 lbs (started at 200 lbs) but because of my small frame, I think I'm going to re-evaluate soon!
  • I LOVE going out to eat. It's one of my most favourite social activities. I try to pick a place that offers calorie info online, but if not I do my best to estimate. And it hasn't hindered my progress one bit :)
  • mmm with a few tbsp of salsa or a couple pieces of cheese!
  • I currently barely exercise. I work on my feet 38 hours a week, and ride my bike 10 min to and from work every day so I've found that losing weight just by modifying my eating habits has been incredibly easy. I AM however looking to get back into weight training soon :).
  • 5'10 :) SW: 200 lbs CW: 165 lbs GW: 150 lbs before I reevaluate! I have a small frame and do not carry weight well at all, so potentially aiming for 135 - 140 lbs.
  • I weigh once a day, right after I wake up and use the washroom. I use the Libra app, which reminds me every morning to record my weight. It plots it all out on a little graph, which I like because it's easy to see trends. The daily weighing doesn't stress me out because I've come to understand that things WILL fluctuate…
  • 5'10" and about 35 lbs gone since the end of Feb/beginning of March! 200lbs to 165. This comparison is a month or so old but yeah:
  • Peaches! I also really really love Special K chips. With salsa or little pieces of cheese. Carrots and salsa. Light cream cheese on bread or a bun, sprinkled with vegetable seasoning and cayenne pepper.
  • Mini cupcakes with buttercreme frosting are 93 calories each and sooooooooooo gooooooood
  • Lately I work a PB&J sandwich into my daily calories as a bedtime snack, AND a cupcake after dinner. Almost every single day. I see no issue whatsoever with daily ice cream so long as you're also filling up on other, "healthy" things too :). Hell, if ice cream dessert every day helps keep you on track, more power to you!
  • What they all said. Figure out the number of calories you can eat while still losing 0.5-2 lbs per week (depending on how much you have to lose) and stick to it every single day if you can. WHAT you eat is basically up to you.
  • I honestly don't understand why anyone would do a cleanse when they cost money, deprive you of delicious foods, are miserable especially if prolonged, and totally scientifically unnecessary. While I understand that people want quick and easy fixes, I can't see what's easy or convenient about eating nothing but juiced…
