Hi, @Lois...keep on swimming, graceful dolphin or crashing pelican...whatever. It makes you happy and your body is responding to the work. Rock on. I am sure you are more graceful than you give yourself credit for being. @MountMary84 aka Barbara....you don't fail unless you fail to get up and try again. You are here. That…

Totally, but for different reasons. I find this site so important because I have found people interested in better health and who I can discuss things that come up. People in real life might not know how to be supportive of me. I do lift, but right now, am not shocking anyone with my successes. However, it is the reason…

Good morning, Just got my HIIT workout in...logging my day and decided to check in. I forget what is supposed to be done on Tuesday. Ah well, I'll catch on. Have a fantastic day. Go rock the world. Mara

Hello, @GrandmaKaye:  @kah68: TY. Hope you had enough energy for cardio... @Morgori: I think 'Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day' is fantastic (excuse the pun). My 9 year olds (I teach fourth grade) will LOVE to do this with Charades during our Morning Meeting tomorrow. I can't wait to see what they come up with. I…

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Gosh I wish I had found this at the beginning of my journey and feel so thankful already, on Day 2!! @Niki - there is no one way to do anything. You have to find what is your way that works with the other demands that are on you. That being said, I found that I had to also be willing to change…

Hi, I'm new. I'm in the middle of my journey to lose 250 pounds...I would love to help and be helped. :) Since it is Sunday...a little bit about myself.... I live in NH, just had a sleet/mixed wintery blustery event yesterday, so have been inside most of the weekend. I'm in the middle of planning bike trips for myself in…

I agree with Jon. Also, exercising gives you so many nsv along the way...it will help you through those times when the scale just isn't cooperating. You'll feel better physically, and feel the improvement in your body from the inside out. Find an exercise you like to do, whether you are a social person and want to join a…

Up at 4:00, working out by 4:30....wouldn't be as consistent if it were later in the day...things get in the way. Feel free to friend me if you are interested. :)

Log everything because it might have sodium even though it is very low in calories...and sodium can derail your efforts if it gets too high. Once I know it is truly a zero value, I feel more comfortable skipping it.

Hi. Please go see your husband. I agree with Auguria...tell him your plans and goals for taking it off. Stay open to him...and continue to work on making the best you for him. You can do both things. But you also need to accept where you are right now in order to change it. Hiding it from yourself or him isn't going to be…

I have about 150 more to go...let's get this party started....

Measure. Every day. Every damn thing. It matters. You will see. You are doing so many amazing things for yourself. Do this one more thing. Every thing. Every damn day.

Logging in advance has helped me understand the different nutrients foods have and have made me more accurately hit my numbers. I start with my proteins, as they are what is hardest for me. I load my carbs (fruits first, then veggies and then starches). After that, I will tweak foods to make the numbers work, adding food…

I'm quoting a fellow MFP friend here...working on what I eat, and what I do, EVERY DAMN' DAY!

Maple Grove Farms has some nonfat dressings that are decent. I love Basil Lime Vinegarette. There is also one that is called poppy seed vinegarette....it isn't sweet like Poppy seed dressings usually are...it's more tart. Love it. Hope this helps. I'm not sure how available this brand is to you. I bought it at Ocean Job…

Perhaps get a nutritional expert to set the goals for you, then stick to them. Maybe you were setting the food too low and depleted your strength. Take care, and good luck.

Fantastic progress! What a motivation. Thanks for posting the details too. :drinker: :flowerforyou:

It sounds like you are doing the right things. Exercise and watch what you are putting in. It will come. Keep on doing good things for yourself and your son by being active and eating right. It will come. :flowerforyou:

Baby steps. My penny's worth of advice is to start building a healthy support team...people who will encourage your steps toward a healthy you. You can do this. You've seen here that others have. You deserve to be healthy. Keep trying. Just keep trying. You are worth it. :flowerforyou:

Thanks for sharing this with us. Congratulations on all you have done for yourself and others. :)

Well said. Along with my, "Yes, what he said," I also track my own lack of consistency to ignorance. The amount I have to lose is overwhelming at times. Seeing an expert in the field who can look at my actions and help me plot my next move has been life changing for me. I am 47 years old and am seeing success with weight…
