I'm in, but with the haze still blowing in from Indonesia and the Pollutant Standard Index (PSI) consistently over 200 for most of the last three weeks, my goal for this month will be to get out every day if the PSI is below 130.

My workday breakfast is often 100g of Greek yoghurt with 20 g of oat bran, a little almond or soya milk, a scoop of protein powder and bananas if I have any. Mix before you go to bed and leave in the fridge and it ends up both Yummie and filling as well as helping me reach my protein goal

Brilliant, well done

I wanted the basis peak and waited 9 months for them to come to Singapore; gave up waiting at the beginning of August and got a Fitbit charge HR as a stop gap, thinking I would hate it but at least get an idea of my sleep and heart rate patterns. Best decision I ever made. I found the pulse accuracy is comparable with…

Try nappy rash cream, it really helps. Bepanthane was recommended to me 'over here'

I go through phases depending on the activity. (kp = kilometre point): Cycling - kp 0 to kp 5; this is amazing, I could go forever - Kp 5 to Kp 10; I want to go home, like NOW - Kp 10 to Kp 15; ok, not so bad - Kp 15 to Kp 20; s&@t this hurts - Kp 20 to 1km from home; wow this is great, so glad I came out, how long have I…

I mostly ride in the dark here (I live near the equator so no significant seasonal day/night variations plus I would get badly sunburned if I rode too much during the day). I have the best lights on the bike that I can find here / afford, fluorescent strips on my shoes, light coloured cycling shirts plus my little white…

Brilliant work, well done. Now you've got to beat that in September!

My favorite ride is part of one of my routes, but it is best done just before dawn. Starting at the Lor Halus bridge, head up to Punggol Point then back down through sengkang riverside. Nice gentle undulations and as it is all beside water it's almost like having air conditioning on your ride. Unfortunately this is a…

As a long term vegetarian that would live on raw veggies (with a little cheese and a few pulses) if given a choice and made myself ill following that diet . Whey isolate is the only way I can get anywhere near my protein goal, especially on a cycling day. Only soy and whey are complete proteins (contain all the required…

I don't get on with chest straps (tried for two years but all seem to cause skin rashes) so was waiting to get a basis peak. 9 months after launch they still aren't available in Singapore so I got a Fitbit Charge HR about 2 weeks ago. I really like this and it seems to be fairly accurate for pulse, steps and flights…
