  • i've dated anywhere between 3 yrs younger to 3 years older but i tend to get along better with people older than i am ....i wouldn't have any issue partnering with somone 10-15 years older than i am, if the connection was there.
  • thanks for the link! i'm totally going to check that out :)
  • Oh I sure have a few lol....in no particular order: Ellen Page Drew Barrymore Brody dalle Amanda Palmer Noomi Rapace as "Lisbeth Salander" Tatiana Maslany.....and several of her clone characters from "Orphan Black" .....
  • Pride for me isn't until august! I'm really wishing I could attend world pride in Toronto this year, it sounds amazing. I do a lot for pride week, everything from helping to make signs & decorating cars to walking in the parade and helping at various events during the week. I've been involved for the better part of 10…
  • my next weigh in is on the 21st ...between the 21st & august 3oth I would like to lose another 20 lbs. I'll give it my best shot anyway!
  • a night out doing an activity of my choosing...it doesn't have to cost a lot, or anything and it can be something i choose to do alone or with others - playing pool, going to a movie, enjoying a campfire, browing an art museum etc.
  • Hey there & welcome! I'd love to be along for the journey & that goes for any of you. I've had issues with weight and esteem for pretty much my whole life but now there's some medical things at stake. I need to lose a lot as well. I just joined MFP 2 months ago & I'm always open for more supportive friends.
  • i have a higher BMI than 100% of those aged 15-29 in my country and in the world.....*sigh* ....well that's depressing lol
  • I live in Canada but I love cheese, jager, beer & the packers of course!!!! I totally wish I could go to Wisconsin for a game and a visit. I've had a thing for that state since I was 8....I'll admit that it was because of the band Garbage & smart studios at the time. ....I also wouldn't mind going to seattle at all haha…
  • yep! i can relate and my thought processes are similar around it. If it's something I *want* and it fits in, I have no problem eating it... and if I'm eating out of boredom/sadness etc I can control the urge but it's a different thing altogether when there's no emotional or physical desire to snack and yet there I am…
  • i weigh myself daily but I don't record until the end of the week
  • Welcome! I loved reading your post, wishing you the best of luck on your journey!
  • Chances are that it's just water weight :)

  • just thought of something and wondered if anyone else did this ....as a kid for birthday parties parents would always make "top hats" which were ritz crackers covered in a layer of icing and then a giant marshmallow placed on top . I never heard of this happening anywhere else lol ...but it's totally a weird but delicious…
  • my partner is currently obsessed with spreading jalapeno hummus on M&M cookies .... my own weird combos are putting bbq chips or doritos on my sandwich/chicken burger, dipping fries into honey or ice cream, making mac n cheese rollups or lasagna wraps (literally putting a piece of lasagna in a flour tortilla) lol
  • NS here ...feel free to add me if you'd like :)
  • a plane ticket!
  • i feel really awkward & uncomfortable if they bring it up.....i know that they just want me to recognize that what i'm doing is paying off. i appreciate the support but maybe once i get to a place where i'm more comfortable with my body, it will be less awkward.
  • Hey! Welcome to the forums :) Feel free to add me if you would like. I have 100 lbs to lose as well & I find having a support system here really keeps my motivation strong. Best of luck to you all!
  • Yeah for sure! when I joined I did so just to track my own food intake etc...i never thought I'd find a network of people who were inspiring and full of encouragement (which I hope I can reciprocate). My experience here has been more successful than ANY attempt in the past.
  • I'd class it as being lightly active. You are doing SOME activity and not just sitting at a desk all day. Maybe try to get a walk in during lunch hour a few times a week, if you can. Little changes really do help :)
  • I love them! My favorite S&V chip is the Ms. Vickie's salt & vinegar kettle chips
  • oh the irony of my post....I boycotted buying bottled water out of convenience for many years...but my tap water is so damn awfulnow that it's unfit to drink. Even brita filters don't help. So I either get spring water from a friend who has a well, or when not avaliable I swallow my advocacy pride and buy 2.5 gallon jugs…
  • I would...but then again I also don't have any pics of myself up. There are a couple of reasons for this. I'm not opposed to having a photo of myself on my profile but I currently don't have any photos that were taken in the last 3 years and don't have others in the pic. I'll pretty much accept any friend request, a…
  • of course it does!
