I'm 5'0" and I agree... It sucks being short because even 5 lbs makes a huge difference. We require so few calories because we don't metabolize as many calories as someone taller than us. It's definitely hard.

That's amazing!!! You look awesome girl! If you don't mind me asking, what was a typical day/week like for you food wise and working-out?

Important thing is to look for bread with the first ingredient reading "Whole Grains" if it says anything about flour, it's not a whole grain bread. How about mixing it up and instead of jelly, adding banana to it? Or even switching from peanut butter to almond butter? Or maybe making egg salad or tuna fish for a different…

I prefer my salmon filets with a side of butternut squash! I'm the worst cook and I like to make things simple on myself. I usually go with packaged salmon or chicken rub some spice on it, fry it on a pan, microwave a side of frozen vegetables, and I'm good to go! Breakfasts are usually where I tend to change-up every…

I have the wrist pain issue as well. Grabbing some weights and using those while doing push-ups help! Also, for your lower back, maybe stay away from doing a lot of crunches/sit-ups until your abs/lower back are strong enough to support you. I have been having a similar issue with my lower back, and have learned that I…

I should mention, I try to get anywhere from 1400-1500 calories a day. Just trying to come up with some ways that I can plan my meals better to achieve my macros better.

Love this! I know probably my biggest issues are the snacks and lunches... I try to think ahead of time and bring what I need at work, but usually end-up failing. I think salads need to be my key lunch with a protein, veggies and the dressing as the fat. Dinner I'm usually good at making a protein (chicken or fish) and a…

Barre class focuses on muscle endurance rather than strength gains. I know the feeling wanting to laugh at the small pink weights, I almost laughed at the girl who told me they used 2lbs or 3lb weights; until I took the class and had to go down to the 2lb weights. It's a lot of core work and using different muscle fibers…

I like the vitamins and the greens. I use them and they help to regulate my body functions. I wouldn't go for the wraps or body slimming/weight loss products. I did try one of my girlfriend's 90-day weight loss challenges where we used the Thermofit, Fatfighters, and Greens. Honestly, it didn't do anything for me. Use the…

This is ridiculous. I'm not going to argue what I know to be true: added non-nutritional sugar is not healthy and an addiction. Some people are looking to control this addiction, which is probably what the OP was looking for in their original statement. I am not going to sit here and defend what I know to be true. If you…

And yet both are unhealthy either way. So I don't get what you are trying to imply.

http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/health-effects-of-sugar?page=2 http://www.health.com/health/article/0,,20637702,00.html http://www.livescience.com/36188-sugar-bad.html It just goes without saying, it's not at all healthy to be adding a ton of sugar on a daily basis to your diet. I'm not saying that you shouldn't still…

I definitely like it! It's helped me to get control over my high carb/sugar intake. It tastes just like regular bread too. My favorite is the cinnamon raisin English muffins with fat free cream cheese! So yummy! Feels like I'm cheating, yet I know I'm not.

Everyone seems to be arguing the point that sugar should not be eliminated due to it not having an effect on weight loss. But what about the health benefits for some of us who need to cut down on the processed foods/sugar? I have a sugar addiction, I am well aware of it. No, I don't crave chocolate or candy, but rather I…

I bought a stability ball for my height and used it one day. I loved it, except my desk sat too high for my height on the ball, so I barely use it.

Why are you harping on her for her extreme weight loss efforts? That's not the point of this board. The point is to congratulate her. Now give her the tips to succeed. You can't change what she already did, but we can help her going forward.

Wow!!! That's awesome!!! I wish I had half your dedication! I've been trying to lose 35 lbs for over a year now I feel like... Have only lost about 5 so far and really that has only happened in the last month or two. Let the haters hate, you should be proud!

Weak core & anterior pelvic tilt? That's my issue... But everyone is different. The only real way to know would be to see/ask a doctor since they'll know your routine. We can only just guess.

Yay!!! I'm 5'0" as well! I know how difficult this is, especially to see your own results on you. But you can definitely see it girl! Go you!!

Typical sustainable weightloss is about 1-2 lbs a week. She probably lost a lot of the water weight in the beginning and is now finally stabling out. Losing weight isn't always a linear progression either. Our bodies sometimes retain more salt/water and lose it just as quickly. And it's great that she wants to get more…

JessicaSmithTV is my ABSOLUTE favorite at home workout! Emily Skye has good circuits to do as well and has some that are just body-weight only. Popsugar Fitness, BeFit, XHIT Daily are some good ones to look-up as well.

Mine is public at about 1450 calories a day. Would love to connect with others and get ideas and inspiration!

My fitbit charge hr was an eye-opener for me as well. I've learned that my physical activities were not burning as many calories as myfitnesspal would say. I've also learned that my weekends sabotage me completely. While I am good on the weekdays, my average calorie intake over a 30-day period, I have found is only a 100…

Do any of you know if it's okay to refrigerate the batter to use again? Or is it best to make all the pancakes and then refrigerate the cooked pancakes?
-
Wow... all of you just like to argue with one another and say how each one is wrong and you are right. The poor OP doesn't care about all of your egos. OP, you want to burn fat? Like some people suggested, find an activity you like, doesn't matter what it is, start doing something though and be active for 30-60 minutes a…

Start weight-lifting now. This will increase your metabolism and your daily calorie burn, which is really what you want more than anything. Increase your protein and fiber intake at every meal. (protein: cottage cheese, greek yogurt, chicken, fish, eggs, beans, quinoa) (fiber: whole grains like Ezekiel bread, oatmeal,…

I am in agreement with the permission thread. But don't need to continue the negative talk either. Instead, I will say that you just need to do more research and hunting for taking the things you do love and making them healthy. Want a bun with your hamburger? Get a whole wheat (emphasis on the main ingredient being "whole…

I feel your pain OP! I am not a cook at all... I hate looking-up recipes and trying to buy ingredients and cooking all day. It's just not what I like to do. Some ideas I have been doing from a non-cook to another non-cook: Breakfast: -Protein smoothie (protein powder, almond milk, frozen fruit all in a blender) -Ezekiel…

According to bodybuilding.com, "when trying to gain lean muscle during a rigorous exercise program, a good rule of thumb is to shoot for an intake of about 13-15 calories per pound of bodyweight. So for a 110-pound woman, total daily calories would be between 1,430 to 1,650; for a 150-pound woman, about 1,950 to 2,250."…

The Success Stories boards have a ton of pcitures/stories about women who weight-lifted as well, and you will definitely see their curves are kicking! http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1045433/women-lifting-heavy-with-pics#latest
