  • @Cinner29 , thanks for helping save the animals. You're good people.
  • I usually replace spices about every 1-2 years or when I notice the color faded or lacking potency when tasted. I store my spices in a rack under a cabinet, so not completely out of sunlight, but I have no other place to put them. There are definitely spices that get purchased more frequency due to use, cinnamon is a big…
  • To be pendantic for a second, PP spice is what some people use to make pumpkin pie, it's a short cut, not a requirement. Okay serious question. Why do you use Pumpkin Pie spice blend instead of just keeping the individual spices? I love to bake as well, which is why I have the individual spices. To have the spice blend…
  • Let me bring some curmudgeon to the party. It is NOT pumpkin spice because it doesn't contain any pumpkins. It's actually cinnamon/nutmeg/ginger/cloves spice blend. Which makes you wonder how this became a "seasonal" thing considering those spices are available year round and in your kitchen NOW. The only thing special is…
  • They have largely dropped claims about after burn. The calorie burn report after a workout are strictly for the workout itself, not any extra. Their formula for calorie burn is pretty standard. An hour combined of treadmill, rowing machine, and weights is burning about 450 calories on average for me, which is not high for…
  • I always overwrite the default calories from MFP for exercise.
  • I do yoga 4 times a week. The biggest tip I can give is take a class. Even if it's only a couple times a month. You will grow so much more with a live instructor watching & correcting your pose, giving hands on assistance to deepen the stretch, and helping you understand how a pose is supposed to feel.
  • Also try sphinx pose.

  • I'm waiting for them to release "Oreo Flavored Oreos".
  • Before anyone could answer questions on whether you are eating too much or not enough, we would need quantities. Take trail mix. What kind of trail mix? Is this a 100 calorie pack, a 2 oz snack pack, or free eating from an 18 oz bag? Are you having a little kid snack pouch of goldfish or polishing off one of those fake…
  • I need to re-calibrate my apple watch. I will do an hour long hard workout at Orange Theory and will tell me I did 8 minutes of exercise. My stand alone heart rate monitor gives a completely different story.
  • I like using this spice blend. https://www.kitchenfusions.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=112
  • Make sure you aren't overestimating your workout calories.
  • Do they also rent out yoga mats? Because that's a heavier and bulkier item for a suitcase then a pair of shoes.
  • I work out after dinner, so I make sure I eat light (hey look, leftovers for lunch) and snag a snack when I get back.
  • Yes it's exercise. Especially if you follow the poses correctly and actively engage the muscles as instructed. It's not cardio, it's more in line with strength training for the calories burned. I wouldn't do only yoga for exercise. I do yoga four times a week. Three flow classes and one yin class. My yin class is recorded…

  • Oh man, and last night was partner workouts with all those pulsing half squats.
  • There are things I don't track. But before I get into those, let me be clear that I don't eat all my calories a day, I usually leave 200-400 uneaten. It covers the untracked, any small variations in portions I didn't weigh (restaurant or prepackaged food), or things being off in exercise calories. 1. Salt & Pepper, I'm not…
  • Did you like BIC for Her pens? Now there's women specific fasting! Add this special supplement to all your water during the day. It's only $90 for a day's supply and makes your water a pretty pink color. Coming in AND going out!
  • Hmm, I'm not sure we can answer this until we know your blood type and astrological sign.
  • Well for one, logging everything helps me see patterns. I also frequently write notes about the day. So I can see by reviewing my notes and my log if the choices I made worked for me or not. Take ice cream. I could have had a really bad day and felt crampy and went over my calories (bad choices, what could I do next time)…
  • Doctor Who quotes are never useless! “Always take a banana to a party, Rose: bananas are good!”
  • I love the nitro. Unfortunately I've temporarily given up coffee and am stuck with ice water while my son gets a warm cookie & chocolate milk
  • If it's a "I don't want to heat up the house" or "I don't want to do a lot of complicated steps", I would recommend an Instant Pot if you don't have one. It makes it really simple to cook multiple chicken breasts at once, hard boiled eggs, ears of corn, rice, oatmeal, potatoes, baked beans/chili, etc. without a lot of…
  • Half a grapefruit with 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Hard boiled egg Jimmy Dean turkey sausage links
  • To be serious for a minute, wait until you cool down. People can faint getting into a hot shower, possible causes being dehydration, low blood sugar, and low blood pressure. My sister has a lovely scar across one eyebrow when she got into a hot shower right after getting out of bed and fainted (low blood pressure runs in…
  • I'm pretty sure if I was, the team of therapists he has in his life would be stepping in. He has autism & ADHD and is very underweight, is never hungry, and refuses to try new foods (which is one of the things his therapists are working on). If I was trying to short cut his feelings with "don't cry, here's food" or bribing…
  • And? There is no logic to this statement, just an implication that dogs are lesser. How does "not being a dog" mean a person can't reward themselves with food? What a dog can't do is plan for a distant future reward and resist temptations in the meantime. I on the other hand, have the ability to say "I want to go have…
  • Disagree with you. Nothing wrong with food being a reward. My son did a great job behaving himself in daycare while I was taking a yoga class? "Good job playing nicely with younger kids and listening to the grownup! want to stop next door at Panera and get a cookie before we run errands?" He gets verbal reinforcement, a…
