You look great. Thanks a lot for posting your photos, I have the same body shape as you although I am 2 inches taller and you don't see many pics of our body type. It is great to see what I might look like one day if I work as hard as you have. Very inspiring!

How much you eat is probably most important for you rather than how much you exercise, exercise seems to be most useful for strength, retaining muscle mass and general health rather than a weight loss tool by itself. Use the food diary here to track how many calories you are eating and try to meet the calorie targets set…

Have you tried adding up your total calories per week and dividing by 7 and seeing if that number equals your maintenance cals per day? You could be cancelling out your weekday deficit with your weekend consumption.

Might be worth checking the weights of your packaged foods. In Australia at least, the weight on the packet must be the minimum weight. Often times things are heavier than the stated weight and depending on what it is that could make quite a difference.

I gather that volunteers fix this. It seems that at a certain time of day in the US a big wash of spam goes out. Moderators usually clean it up pretty quickly so if you just wait a little while it will be gone.

I don't know about anyone else but I tend to wear my clothes until they are far too loose. No one seems to notice my loss and then when I start wearing smaller clothes on the same size body, they suddenly notice.

In a similar vein as someone mentioned above about immune systems, gut bacteria and inflammation there were two episodes in the last 2 weeks on a respected science show here in Australia about our diet, our gut bacteria and possible relationships with all sorts of disease and health problems including obesity, diabetes,…

There is a school of thought (and Psychology) that says that our emotional response to anything is entirely within our own control. Events/things that happen are just events or things that we can't necessarily control. What we can control is how we respond emotionally and our subsequent actions. Some people see the…

I think the patient should be able to make the final decision and the hospital should only be able to recommend surgery in the hospital. This is just another way for hospitals and doctors to run up the bill. [/quote] This is a pathetic statement. I have worked in ICU for 20 years and have looked after many people who had…

You are a far braver person than me!v I watched your video and it was quite moving, you are very tough on yourself. But I can relate to your experience a lot. I am in the process of losing 30 kg again...for the third time. Each time I have regained it has had a bigger emotional toll on me than the time before and I think…

With current technology, wearing a heart rate monitor with a chest strap is the most accurate way to get an estimate of calories burned whilst doing a particular aerobic activity. I have used a Polar one for years and really like it. If you don't want to wear a strap you have to settle for big errors in the calorie burn…

I have had weight issues since I was 17. At my heaviest I knew I was overweight, but I think I didn't really know so I was a little under confident ie wouldn't wear a swimsuit but it didn't stop me doing most hings I wanted. Then I lost 25 kgs. Still not thin but around 'normal' size and I felt great. And I looked at my…

Congratulations on all your hard work. Thanks so much for posting your photos and your strategies for losing weight. I am the same body shape as you and started at a similar start weight. I struggle to see what the end could be like having been overweight to obese all my adult life. Thanks for the inspiration, I wish you…
