A big mug of coffee with creamer and sweetener. That is breakfast everyday. Some days I have two mugs.

I'd really love some friends who are active and motivating. I've been on here for a long time. Not sure what else to say.

I get this a lot, too, but I have very big shoulders and don't carry as much weight in my hips as I do in some other places. I also have unusually small wrists and ankles for my frame. I'm 5'10" and my goal right now is a muscular 170-180. It's still around the overweight range but I'll see from there. That weight makes me…

I'm 5'10. Weight looks very different on tall girls most times. It's like we have more places to hide some of it or something. LOL!

What kinds of things do they usually like to eat? Maybe if I had an idea of what they liked I could make suggestions. I'm also looking for different ideas for myself. LOL!

Hi. I was diagnosed many years ago and have completely reversed it by keeping a high protein diet and some exercise. My diet consists of meats, some beans, and dairy, especially cheese, and salad, all within my calorie limits. This is what my gastroenterologist recommended for me. You can do this! I started the same way…

One that hasn't been mentioned is Fashion to Figure. They have some cute styles, everywhere from younger to more sophisticated. I've loved everything I've bought. I also love shopping for clothes at Target and even Kmart, but I live in mostly classic pieces. I can't push myself to buy many expensive things knowing I'm in a…

Yep! Northeastern NJ here!

I do it weekly. I shop sales and different stores. I eat a lot of chicken, mostly because I can poach a tray and then quickly prepare it in different ways. It's my quick fix food item and for $7 a week I get a lot of protein. Too busy to get creative more than a couple of times a week. I also cook sometimes for my husband…

For hot stuff, I love my immersion blender. I don't need to pour hot liquids and I don't need to worry about venting hot liquids in a blender. I use mine mostly for sauce and soups. It's very easy to clean since a couple blitzes in hot soapy water gets everything off. I have a regular Oster blender for smoothies and drinks.

1 spoon of olive oil somewhere? Isn't it like 160 calories a tablespoon?

I love his videos! He's one of my kitchen inspirations.

I'm assuming your doctor is aware, so I'll say this. It takes a while for your cycle to kick up. It wouldn't hurt eating a little more either, especially on workout days. It's not unheard of to hear of people recovering from EDs eating closer to 5000 calories and still maintain. If your treating medical team is unaware, I…

There are lots of us around. Feel free to add if you'd like.

Grapes, I can eat lots of them. Actually, most fruits, but grapes top that list. And apples were a shock too.

Yes! I am in NJ. I'm near NYC. I think the one gym I went to years ago was most like this. It was a Gold's.

This happened to me once for months, like nothing was happening, the scale wasn't moving, the inches weren't either, and then I had a double "whoosh" where I dropped 30 pounds and 3-4 sizes in a month. It was awesome.

I have hypothyroidism and insulin resistance (hoping the ir is in remission), so I understand the struggle. It's possible, though slow. Feel free to add me. :)
-
Feel free to add me, too! I find that seeing people's burns and losses inspires me so much. Do you have a set routine?

I gym alone myself. Headphones with music that pumps you up and has a good rhythm is the best, especially while lifting. Just do what you can. My goal is usually just to get into the door. I tell myself, I just need to walk in and scan in and then I can leave and it's usually enough to get me to stay and do something since…

Not all meat is fatty. I normally eat less than 50g of fat per day and that's including a good amount of cheese. There are lean cuts of beef, such as top round sirloin and I usually have the butcher grind that for me for burgers and stuff. The one I get is usually sold as London Broil. Cut properly and it ends up being…

HAHA! I just bought a 3 qt so I can poach chicken more effectively. I now have 3 different sizes. The small 1.5 qt is also great for parties to keep dips warm. We love a good taco dip here. And I make sauce sometimes in my 6 qt. The husband LOVES pasta sauce/gravy, and that stuff can go all day in one. Easy to make and…

I will agree with those who say to prepackage your allotted meals and to keep protein high. Protein slows down digestion, which is why they usually tell bariatric patients to eat their protein first. Plan your meals on your days off, have your post work dinner made, pre-planned quick fix, or cooking in a slow cooker so…

LOL! I could see that in my gym, just not to that degree.

I would love some more friends on here who are active and motivating. I tend to be very shy when adding people. >.<

I pay attention to my protein first and keep carbs as low as I could as per my doctor's recommendations. But I will agree with the above, what works for you is what's best.

I was able to replace them with raw cashews or almonds. So yummy. That was my replacement when I went gluten free and couldn't find croutons that I could eat.

I think PF varies wildly, as mine is nothing like that. But I think the takeaway here is, QUESTION EVERYTHING, even what a qualified trainer says, with your own research. Anyways, salads are my life in summer, and yours, OP, sounds delicious, nutritious, and balanced. Whoever told you that is completely misinformed. They…

I was diagnosed with PCOS mostly because of the IR. I was gaining on very little calories and eating once a day. CICO really doesn't apply as true to those with IR as it does to the normal population, mostly because of the excess insulin being dumped into our systems when we have high carbs. What has helped the IR and the…
