1) I eyeball. After some time using your scale you can eyeball pretty well or at least well enough to fudge it. I try to order stuff that is separate, for example I'll order eggs, bacon and toast instead of a skillet that's all mushed together. 2) Weigh the pot/pan (empty) you are cooking in. Make your recipe on MFP -…

*bow* I love apple butter and I will be eventually trying this.

MyFitnesspal will teach you to do the same thing Weight Watchers makes you pay for. Plus, it will teach you to maintain long term. "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

Nooo...you're so pretty! Don't get down about that, people suck.

I have nothing productive to say other than- 3 miles in 26 minutes is amazing! *clap*

I need caffeine in the afternoon to quiet my sweet tooth and stress hunger at work. I have to stop every once in while because overtime it doesn't effect me the same way- I just get headaches and then want to go to sleep. I use caffeine right before I go to the gym, as well. My choice is Diet Coke but coffee hits the spot…

vanilla extract or ground vanilla beans in good black coffee, a little goes a long way! Sometimes I'll put a splash of almond milk, lactose intolerant.

Caffeine withdrawal. You are tired during the day and sleep better at night...cranky and on edge.

submitted! I skipped it last time you were taking applications and regretted it. Excited to get my owl Slytherin ;)

I like Neutrogena Sport. I have very fair skin- never, ever burn with it on. It also smells amazing. I just went on a 10 miles run, hot day, and it stayed on the entire time.

BMIs suck lol, everyone tells me not to lose anymore weight, "You look skinny now"- even though I'm technically obese and my doctor would say the same. Just medical terms, don't take it too personally.

My mom used to make these all the time when I was a kid, they taste good with a thin slice of Swiss cheese on top of the stuffing before you fold them food.com/recipe/cabbage-beef-stuffed-bread-buns-runza-253925

go to the bell on the upper, right hand side of the main forum page --> "all notifications" ---> "replies" or you can use the search bar and search for your username in the "author section". If you search your username in the main bar it will pull up all the discussions that someone quoted you in

Chili - high calorie and easy to hide stuff in it. Same with sloppy joes. Both can be made in the crockpot and reheated, as well.

From Chicago, it gets very cold here as well. I bought an elliptical on craigslist to use when it's too snowy to go the gym or run outside.

awesome! :)

Everyone knows they are ridiculous. Guidelines are for liability since it is a beginner's gym. Most people have enough common sense to know what they can do and can't do without hurting themselves. Most locations are staffed by teenagers or 20 year olds, they don't care, it's not their career. I don't agree with the lunk…

Not looking to start a fight...good try though.

Everyone looks goofy when they first join a gym. My tip: Just go do it. Everyone's too busy concentrating on themselves to worry about what you are doing :) In a couple weeks you'll be settled in and may even meet a couple new gym buddies to workout with and learn from. Highly recommend the personal trainer! I been on and…

I have friends that talk trash when I'm fat- talk trash when I'm thin. I get the "Jules eats organic now", even though I don't! I politely explain that I only eat smaller portions and more fruits/veggies. I make better daily choices. I don't eat pizza every night, but I won't pass it up when I'm with my friends. They only…

Not really gadget person, as long as I have a good set of knives and my hand mixer I'm happy. However, cherries were amazing this year so I bought a cherry pitter- used it all summer for recipes and bringing cherries to work. It's way easier and cleaner to eat cherries when you don't have to spit the pit out. It also pits…

Like above, you can't spot reduce fat. BUT... I do a combo of running and walking on an incline. My stomach and lower back are definitely getting firmer. Yes, I have lost fat overtime but compared to when I have only dieted, no exercise, I can tell the difference.
-
I might try this- whipped cream upsets my stomach and I have terribly missed it.

I've never seen these signs at my PF. Nor do they have a pizza night that I have seen. Never had the lunk alarm go off when I've been there. People mind their own business, I don't have random guys hitting on me or staring at me. No one is throwing weights around and grunting. There are tons of people who break the dress…

Thanksgiving is coming up, buy a huge turkey cheap, cook and freeze for meals. You can do the same with ham when they are on sale for Christmas, use the bone for split pea soup, which is also really inexpensive to make. I bulk buy meat during the holidays when they are buy one, get one free.

I've heard from a couple people that tattoos look bigger after weight loss, well, because you become smaller and the tattoo stays the same.

Statistics like this are horrible and shouldn't be considered unless you know exactly where the information is coming from and how it is being used. If you think of all the people in the world who start a diet (especially fad diets) and give up in a couple weeks I can see why it would be around 3%. Using MFP is a great way…

When I have a bad day, instead of grazing I going to gym. I turn my music up loud and run. Great stress relief and good for me. The hardest part is getting dressed and out the door, that's when discipline rather than motivation moves me. Discipline and habit always outweighs motivation long term. If I really don't feel…
