I've not tried the concentrate, but I got the "dirty chai" tea bags (just chai and espresso). I'm not really a fan. I prefer just having chai.

If you want a high protein without protein powder, you could try greek yogurt mixtures - you could make muesli or similar.
-
I add protein powder and it is just fine in texture. If your powder has casein, it may thicken up, but you could add any liquid to thin it out more. Personally, I like when it thickens up a bit more, but that's a matter of preference for sure. For breakfast today, I had a serving of steel cut oats cooked in water with 20g…

I've never bought Arctic Zero, so I can't compare them.

I'm 5' 4" and hovering around 143-145lbs. I'm not very happy with it, because I have quite a lot of fat in my belly area and thighs. I'm still wearing (somewhat loose) size 12 pants. I'm very much a pear shape. I'd like to lose another 10-15lbs or so, but I'm also working on recomp. So my "goal weight" is not so firm, but…

I got a used GF grill for free. I like it, since I live in an apartment, but I'm not sure if I would have bothered buying one myself. It is really a lot like a panini press. It obviously won't give you a charcoal grill taste, but it does cook kabobs very quickly. There are a few recipes that I cook more often because I…

I tried this today. I have mixed feelings. The caramel swirl is plentiful and pretty good, though does taste like it's sweetened with sugar alcohols. The oatmeal cookie chunks are underwhelming - if I wasn't told that's what they are, I'd think they were particularly bland walnut chunks! The caramel base ice cream is okay…

I tried that maple Mars bar I posted about and it was not that good. It tasted like a normal Mars bar but with some maple added, and that was kind of weird. I don't know what I expected.

I'm back in Canada for spring break and picked up some new things here. Finally found these. Makes me wonder if they are only in Canada, since I've not seen them in the US yet. It was alright - kind of weak chocolate flavour. I like Yoplait Plenti oatmeal meets greek yogurt more. This muesli has far more yogurt and less…

Not new, but new to me: I've never noticed them before now, but I had some at a dinner party tonight. So good!! I would just eat them straight, but I bet they are great with some cheese too. 90 calories for 11 crackers (if the grams are accurate, I didn't weigh them at a party). A fairly strong rosemary taste, and the…

I found even in chia pudding soaked overnight they stick in my retainer.

It may not be the same thing (and don't dismiss the possibility that there is a real problem), but when I first started, I had horrible knee pain running. I think it was because the muscles in my legs were weak. I took a couple of months to do total body strength training instead, including squats and deadlifts, etc..…

Yes. The difference is because when you cook it, what started as 100g of raw meat became fewer grams of cooked meat. 100g of roasted chicken is more chicken than 100g of raw chicken. Just try weighing a raw chicken breast and then weighing it again after you've roasted it and comparing the two counts - log it first by the…

I do not believe cooking will significantly change the nutritional analysis, with some obvious exceptions like if you log bacon raw, it includes all the fat that will cook off (logging it as raw will be accurate if you eat all the bacon grease, so you have to consider that when you are logging). You are more likely to…

It's not more accurate to weigh it cooked, because you can cook it a different amount and lose a lot of water weight. Overcooked, dry chicken breast will weigh less than if you cooked the same breast for less time and retained more water. Also, if you are adding meat to a recipe you definitely should weigh it raw before…

This makes me wonder how you are weighing. If you use the tare feature you don't need to put anything directly on your scale, so I don't see how you would be introducing any extra risk of food poisoning. For example - put cutting board on scale and tare it. Put your raw meat on it. Record the weight, move the board to…

I suggest this recipe if anyone wants dark chocolate cupcakes with PB frosting: http://www.browneyedbaker.com/dark-chocolate-cupcakes-with-peanut-butter-frosting/. You can definitely halve the frosting recipe and still have enough for 12 cupcakes. Be sure to start with a peanut butter you like.
-
Yeah, that's the main reason I never bought them! I love to bake and have recipes for dark chocolate cupcakes with PB frosting that are way tastier! But I know if I hadn't gotten these I'd feel their pull every time I'm at TJs, so I guess it's good to know. There aren't actually any bakeries at all near me. If there were,…

Interesting idea. Do you heat it before eating?

These have caught my eye pretty much every time I've gone to TJs since I moved here last August. I finally got them, as my "yay finals are over" celebration. They're not *bad* but they're not really what I hoped, either. It's definitely a dark chocolate ganache on the top, rather than a frosting. I also like my peanut…

I love baking. I'm a grad student, so I tend to bring most of the batch to the department. The only problem is that there are several other bakers and most of us are reasonably health conscious, so I think people are starting to get unhappy with how often the temptations appear! :P

I don't really care for fast food in general, but sometimes I'll be unexpectedly stuck on campus late and have no other option. I find it easier to fit than a real restaurant meal (but nowhere near as good), especially as pretty much all chains show the calories on the menu here. I would certainly not save calories to have…

I don't know if I would recommend chia pudding with stitches in. I know I get chia seeds stuck in my lower bar retainer (left from after having braces) and I imagine they could get caught around stitches too. I'll also make an explicit suggestion about soups: you might consider a blended black bean soup. They can be very…

I would also suggest looking at Gloria Vanderbilt.

There are lots of pureed soup options. Consider including beans or lentils for something hearty. Would small (e.g. macaroni, shells, orzo, etc.), soft pasta dishes be an option (with noodles you can tolerate)?

What's your average intake? How much are you exercising? If you want suggestions, you might consider opening your diary.

Sounds delicious, I'll keep an eye out!

There's no added sugar.

You should see a doctor. This could be a symptom of something serious, and you should not trust internet forums for diagnosis.
