Absolutely agree with this. :) I have an aggravated foot (old stress fracture) and elbow from doing inferno this past week, and modifying- combined with rest, ice, and Advil have helped.

The one we have is tricky to do by yourself in some areas. Like they want the back of your right arm as a measurement, but hello?!? I am right handed! So, I have my hubby help me with that area. :)

We purchased a fat caliper off of Amazon for a low price. It can take a little practice to use, but has been fairly consistent with other calculators I have used. :)

Thanks everyone! :D

I am overweight based on BMI at 153-155 and 5'5". However my body fat is around 22% with a 28" waist (we have calipers, and it's consistent with my bodybugg body measurement estimate as well). I choose to go by body fat rather than BMI.

Seasoned rice wine vinegar. Yummy- and a little goes a long way.

Conflicting schedules are hard. :( My favorite work out buddy is my DH, and we do cardio videos together a few times a week. Feel free to add me! :)

Welcome. :) I have been overwhelmed by the support here. Feel free to add me!

Feel free to add me as well! :) Good luck with your recovery.

My hubby does it (calls it proatmeal), and I have tried- once. I used vanilla flavor (along with my usual peanut butter), and it was a little weird. But I think it could be ok if you start with smaller amounts of protein powder and work your way up. :)

Friend request sent. :)

Wow! That you all for your support! :flowerforyou:

Oh yum! Right up my alley! Thanks for posting!

I have homemade pizza once a week with my family. I make it lighter, and have a big salad or lots of raw veggies first. As long as you fit it in with your nutritional goals I say go for it. For myself- it's a lifestyle change and I just can't deny myself something. I'll go bonkers, so I just portion control, plan, workout,…

You're not eating enough. Trust me, you have to feed your body properly in order to lose. You may lose at first by limiting calories, but it will not last and your body is suffering for it. By not eating at least 1200 NET calories, you are stalling your metabolism and starving your body. I know it's hard to start eating…

^THIS^ When you start a new exercise program, especially a more intensive one like the shred, your muscles hold on to water to help with glycogen conversion (or something like that!). I will GAIN a few lbs and hold onto it for few weeks before it drops. I was also getting very frustrated with lack of progress until I…

Ugh- I get plenty of fiber in my diet- but still experience occasional bloat and general yuck feelings from not being able to successfully go. When that happens- I take sugar free Metamucil as suggested on the label to help clear the pipes- so to speak. LOL Hope you feel better soon.

You should be so proud of yourself for overcoming it. I suffered from EDs for over 10 years before I finally was able to be stronger. I know the struggle, and have similar stats. Feel free to add me. We can do this!

Hi Julie! Welcome to MFP- it is a wonderful resource. I'm looking for more support and motivation as well- hitting a slump when I am wanting to slow down. :( Feel free to add me! :D

We like to make mock rice pudding with it. Add a splash of vanilla, some cinnamon, a couple packets of stevia, and raisins. So good. I also like to add some sunflower seeds for the salty/sweet thing. Even my cottage cheese hating hubby likes it!

I'm 5'5", and currently 154ish. My body seems to enjoy being between 150-155lbs (have been here for years and it's always my sticking point after having kids), but my goal is135-140 with a medium frame. Before kids I was 125-135 and looked pretty good, though I was way less fit than I am now 20lbs heavier. Go figure. :D

Yeah- I had two 'super-sized' pregnancies, and my lower stomach has a pooch that will never go away- saggy skin. I could have a tummy tuck, but it's just not worth it when I can just dress my body smarter. Sometimes I sure wish I had those super model genetics!

Yay! Another 5'5" lady here. I always thought I was barely 5'4", but I guess I grew in my early 20's up to 5'5" according to the doctor. :D SW: 155.8- though it was more after having baby #4! CW: back up to 155ish- but I feel more toned and tighter GW: 135 maybe Medium frame- currently 23.5% body fat

I'm a big fan of the Extra Dessert gum (Strawberry Shortcake, Key Lime Pie, Mint Chocolate Chip). It takes care of the "I HAVE to have something else, something sweet" cravings I get after dinner.

My cycle affects my weight quite a bit. I gain 2-3lbs during ovulation, and they stick around until TOM gets here (around 2 weeks). That usually causes another 2ish lb gain which sticks around for about 4 days after it starts. Then the scale drops back down. Sometimes it drops by 2-3lbs overnight, and other times it's…

I have always had muscular thighs, even at my lightest. I trained and showed horses so much- there wasn't much choice! I've been asked if I was a dancer- apparently they can have muscular type thighs, too. I used to hate them, but now I embrace them. I am strong, I have curves, and I honestly wouldn't want skinny, weak…

Another hour-glass with ample chest AND booty with a small waist. :)

You can do it. :) I suffered from ED's for over a decade before I finally took control. This site will definitely help you to find a healthier relationship with food and exercise. Feel free to friend or message me. :)

I just started in a new pair of Ryka running shoes, and so far I love them. They are made to account for the different quad angle of a woman. All I know is that I don't have blisters and they are very light and comfortable. :)

I'm 5'5", and my ultimate goal is 135. I've been as low as 116 (looked horrible), and as high as over 220 when pregnant! I think I looked best at 130-135, so that's where I'd like to be. :) Since having kids, the lowest I have been able to get is 140ish, but I would love to be in the 130's again!
