  • Sounds like pubic symphysis pain (SPD). I have had it late in the game during my pregnancies as well. It's not comfortable, and can be painful, but I never had any major issues with it other than taking it more easy.
  • My doctor said something similar to me at my last appointment. It's just deflating. I'm so tired of the focus on weight gain, when it should be about the health of the baby and good nutrition. Unless it's an astronomical gain that raises red flags, just STFU <grumpy pregnant woman here! Anyways- my goal is also 40lbs.…
  • I'm towards the end of my second trimester and I aim to net between 1500-1850 daily. I typically eat around 1800 calories a day regardless of exercise (which is only 200-300 calories extra). I was also gaining too fast on 2000+ calories. :frown:
  • I guess I am fairly crunchy myself. :) We homeschool, delayed and nonvaxed- but are considering an alternate schedule now for all. I am planning to try breastfeeding again, and am determined to be successful this time. We're a close knit family with strong back to roots family values. We are baby wearers who use good…
  • Dark brown. I used to think they were very boring and common, but they are the feature I have been complimented on the most hands down.
  • Offensive person pokes hip/buttocks area and says; "Yep- it's another girl!!!". It was a boy, thank you very much...:grumble:
  • 12 year old black and white Siberian Husky with ice blue eyes. He's a total momma's boy. :)
  • LOL! I always try to wear lighter clothes and I take off my boots, jacket, and purse. Really though, I wish they didn't place so much emphasis on weight gain when there are no pre-existing medical conditions and it is still a reasonable gain.
  • Hi everyone! I'm due May 3rd with a little girl (most likely- the u/s was a little early and she was modest!). This is number 5 for us, and we already have two girls and two boys, ages 12 down to 4. :) I have already gained 21lbs, and got a lecture yesterday at my appointment, which I was already dreading for that reason.…
  • Hello :) I'm 23-25 weeks and just got a stern talking to by my doc yesterday for being up 21lbs. I'm cracking down and cutting out most of the junk while keeping my calories in my recommended range. My diary is open to my friends, so please feel free to add.
  • I'm 23-25 weeks with #5. Please feel free to add!
  • 23 weeks and 19lbs. :indifferent:
  • I'm in my second trimester, and have mine set to gain .5lb a week. It took some adjustment, but my appetite really started to increase after week 18. If you have problems, try going for more calorie dense foods, like cheese, nuts, peanut butter, or avocados. Congrats! :)
  • I'm 35 pregnant with #5, and it is a little harder on my body this time around, despite being at a healthier start weight and much more fit! I have a couple of friends that were mommies after 40, and they did great. I'm sure you will too! :)
  • I completely agree with this, and the notion of 'kindred spirits'. But I also believe there can be many people you *could* be happy with and be in love with who may not be your soul mate. I've been in other relationships, and I've thought that I was in love with them. I can see that I could have been happily married to one…
  • I'm due end of April/early May with baby #5! The others are 4-12 years old. Anyone can add. :)
  • I've had this sort of thing, too. A gain of 5lbs in about 4 days- physically impossible and I was logging. I am up 20+lbs at 23-24 weeks. Scary! I am sticking to 1800-2100 calories a day, and I have a Fitbit and a Bodybugg, so I know what I am burning. It's crazy, but I think I am even more sensitive to sodium and carbs…
  • 22-24 weeks and up 19-20 lbs. 5 lbs in the past couple of weeks. Hoping some of it is holiday sodium that will go away with cleaner eating and water!
  • I agree with a different sort of gathering. A lunch and spa day with the girls, or a mommy shower where they can bring you and the baby something small. Maybe a freezer meal thing where they can bring a meal for after the baby arrives and no one wants to or has the energy to cook! I was thrown a surprise shower for my 3rd…
  • Thanks! I thought maybe that was how it was supposed to be done! I also am having no problem gaining, and trying not to freak out. I have had a couple super sized pregnancy gains (90 lbs with my first!), and I don't want to repeat that. The big number jumps are scary, but I still want to make sure I am getting enough.…

  • Thank you for this! I have a question though- do you leave your current weight and start weight at your pre-pregnancy weight? Or do you keep adjusting that information as you gain?

  • Steel cut oats with brown sugar, dried cranberries and almonds with coffee. YUM!
  • I think mine was taken in June. :)
  • <--- 5 months pregnant- my hubby thinks I'm hot. Anyone else is a creeper. He also appreciates the bigger ta-ta's.
  • there is an option to assign a to-do to the entire company LOL- I was schooling an employee this morning. :)
  • 20-22 weeks (inconsistent based on LMP and ultrasounds!) and +15lbs. My doctor seemed pleased with everything. :)
  • I was in a relationship much like this. He loved his weed far more than he loved me, and when he was high he did stupid things. He made promises, but he really just got better at lying and hiding things from me. I begged him to not smoke one night when I was upset. I woke up to find him higher than a kite and wondering why…
  • 60 at night, no more than 65-68 during the day. We're northerner's, so we really need to watch it.
  • I used to be mistaken as younger all the time. Not too much fun when you have kids and they assume you had them in your early teens. Some folks are just rude... People are still surprised when they learn I'm 35, especially when I'm without make-up. What helped me back then- a more sophisticated overall style- shorter hair,…
  • Ninjago and Skylanders are HUGE in my house this Christmas!
