  • Try taking baby steps to start a daily routine. Make a goal to be up and dressed for a workout by 8 or 9, do this for a week. Then the next goal could be to actually buy a workout DVD an easy one and start working out 2 days or so a week. Also it may be helpful to make out a daily schedule and post it somewhere that is…

  • I'm a stay at home mother of 2 as well. my youngest is 15 months, you would think I would be as skinny as a twig from all the chasing after him, but instead I need to drop about 50lbs. I love this site and am encouraged by all the people taking the same journey as me.

  • Looks like we have the same goal. I find the support of my friends to be very helpful. I know the goal seems so far away but everyday I look at myself I see some small change. Once less dimple, a lil less jiggle in my arms, the ability to keep my wind a little longer. These are the things that really keep me going.

  • Welcome, welcome, welcome. Every step you take is burning calories, so just because you are not hitting the gym or doing a home workout doesn't mean your not burning calories. Exercise and your current condition probably don't mix right now, so keep track of your steps wear one of those pedometer things, log it under your…

  • Real talk it's easy to say avoid it and stop cold turkey, but the reality of it is you're not. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that as long as you control the liquor and don't let it control you. Honestly I have a drink everyday. I log them accurately that's part of the reason I don't share my diary. I drink…

  • Water water water..... I try drink 16oz before my main meals that way I don't over eat and I feel full after my meal. I try planning all my meals and water bottles a day in advance. That way I don't fall off and I get an idea of my calories before hand. I try to drink at least (5)- 16oz bottles a day. Sometimes I feel like…

  • I feel ya. I normally put on about 2 extra pounds during my period. I get so bloated and it's discouraging. It's funny because before I started trying to lose weight I didn't even notice it. I've found that I shed those couple of pounds at the end of my period, but it stops me from losing any additonal weight that week.....
  • I tried SP some time ago. It bored me and was not nearly as helpful as MFP. I also tried WW and that didn't work either. I've being doing MFP for about a month now and I love it!
