Try reading the book Binge No More. I've found it really helpful in tackling binge eating. It's a short, easy read.

At your height and weight, I don't think 1800 calories is really a deficit if you that doesn't include your exercise calories. Wrist heart monitors are not as accurate at chest monitors for cardio output. 1800 cals a day seems more maintenance than loss. Try eating 1200 base and eating back calories from a chest strap…

Once I went grain and sugar free, my very high triglycerides dropped quickly to a normal level. Its sugars, not just added sugars, but watching the carbs (grains and starchy veggies) help too.

I just bought Explore Asian black bean noodles. They got decent reviews.

I eat clean. I love it and how can you argue with putting whole, unprocessed food in your body. BUT, I ain't never said I don't eat junk sometimes. I do try to be 80/20. I still sometimes have chips, baked goods, ice cream, etc I love eating clean, but I also like junk too. I'm equal opportunity eater. Lol no judgement

I love avocado, egg on a wrap. Heck, I could live off avocado

Yep. I do M-F bc I meal plan. I adjust anything I need to on the actual day. I also pre-add my Friday and Saturday night wine. Lol

Rolls are high in carbs if you splurge. I can never stick to a roll. Lol No food is bad eaten in moderation.
-
Nope. I used to. I used to feel guilty if I ate anything that tasted really good and it was healthy. It took me a long time to break the mentality that "fat is bad". Clean eating has changed my view. Now I don't care if I eat something fried.

I use PaleoPro. It's egg and beef protein powder. Since paleo is anti-artificial sweetener I don't think it has any. I could be wrong but check it out. I chose it bc of the protein type.

I buy from the butcher and they cut and package to order. I also buy cooked rotisserie chicken and pull it apart for the week.

Are you talking refined or unrefined coconut oil? Unrefined has coconut taste and is for medium heat. Refined has no discernible taste and is for high heat. I love avocado oil. It's my favorite oil. EVOO doesn't have a high smoke point so really isn't a great oil for roasting or cooking high heat. Saturated fat isn't…

It's a funny thing. I think term low carb gets thrown around, but not everyone means the same thing. With my dr and nutritionist, I eat 6 meals with a target of 15net carbs at each. That doesn't work out to be low in total carbs, especially if I'm eating foods high in fiber. I don't count calories. But when I fill my day…

I would do a along with a straight Protein (beef/chicken), assuming a has a high fiber content.

Just as others have said, bananas aren't bad or good. It depends on what is right for you. For me, where I'm at, bananas are not a good choice. Based on my blood work and working with my physician and nutritionist, the most I should have is 1/2 banana at a meal. And it's because of its affect on my blood sugars. But that…

You will also find many paleo bloggers out there aren't strict paleo as originally designed. Some will occasionally use grains and legumes. It's really about finding whole healthy unprocessed foods that you feel good after eating.

Whole 30, paleo and primal are not "diets" for the purpose of weight loss. They are nutritional styles of eating that focus on eating whole unprocessed foods. Some people experience weight loss bc it's a healthier style of eating. Whole 30 is a 30 day elimination diet to help you identify which foods you may be reacting…

Quest, kind or Lara bars. Sometimes I just have the item...but just less of it. For example, yesterday I wanted a brown butter run cookie. Normally, I'd eat a few. But I took one and walked away.

I've been completely dairy free before and I noticed my sinuses felt amazing. I'm not 100% dairy free now, but it's negligible. It was hard at first bc I lurve cheese. But the first time I went paleo I went cold turkey. First week was hard but then I noticed I don't miss it in flavoring. Things I would add cheese to tasted…

No vegetables or fruits. All your carbs are consumed first meal. There isn't a secret recipe, just eat while healthy foods and track your macros. That's very simple. You can make that more simple by meal planning and prepping. You spend one afternoon prepping and cooking and creating grab and go meals. You are effectively…

I have the nutritional and workout knowledge. I've seen nutritionists and have had trainers. I've dropped lots of weight, only to regain. So, for me, it's never been about lack of information or even will power. It really is a disorder that stems from emotional trauma and poor coping. To realize this battle I have is 100%…

I'm in counseling and that is helping. But I'm a binge eater with multiple triggers. I definitely binge when I'm angry or sad bc I am "filling the void" with something I enjoy. Binge eating triggers the dopamine in my brain the same way drugs or alcohol do. However, I will also binge eat for happiness/ joy, meaning I would…

I found it shocking myself. But, when you grow up with something you sometimes don't realize how bad it was bc it seemed "normal". Oddly enough, it was in marriage counseling I learned what I experienced growing up was trauma. She referred me to an individual therapist who has really helped me a lot. It's still a long…

I did a whole 30 and it was restricted more than I needed. As an above poster said, it's not intended to be long term. It's a restrictive diet to identify food sensitivities. A side effect can be weight loss. It's a good way to kick start a whole food nutrition.
-
Just like the above poster, there's little you can do. Age, genetics, amount of weight lost, etc all factors in. I used to let excess skin be a "reason" to give up. For example "why bother losing weight if I'm going to look bad thin too". It really used to be a mental block for me. I've come to accept I may need/want a…

I just recently discovered I have a food addiction, compulsive overeating/binge eating. I didn't realize it wasn't normal to hide food and eat in secret or that not everyone feels a physical and emotional pull to food simply bc you smelled it or glanced at it. I also didn't consciously realize how much I used food to fill…

I also find, my problem with staying healthy eating on my weight loss journey is 100% mental for me bc I'm battling food addiction/compulsive eating. It's never been a matter of not liking or wanting healthy foods, I really do like them. But there is an emotional pull/draw to want to eat a big greasy slice of pizza or a…

I've been seeing a nutritionist. So I'm not on a plan per se, but I try to stick to clean eating and keep 3 meals and 2snacks at 15 net carbs or less at each. I also avoid cheese as much as possible bc it's processed food. I was very successful without feeling deprived last year when I did. But, I stopped eating healthy…

Sometimes when you make drastic change in your diet, you can feel sick. Make sure you aren't doing a drastic change from your previous habits. Ease into change in a sustainable manner and you may feel better. Hot dogs aren't a great choice on any diet. They alone could make you feel bad. I have found when I eat whole,…

Also, I force myself to log it. If I don't a part of my brain let's me over look it. That helps.
