  • Hey...flirting is sexual harassment these days. Srs bsns. Tread carefully.
  • You're an attractive woman on the internet. It just doesn't matter. Kinda like when you try to explain to British guys that they are 100% in with that accent...no matter which particular British accent it is. Doesn't matter. You're an attractive woman on the internet. It just doesn't matter. Kinda like when you try to…

  • You're an attractive woman on the internet. New at this?
  • Worst date.... Well, about 8 years ago, before I got fat lol, I started a new job in a new town. Second day on the job a coworker starts laying it on pretty thick, dropping entirely non-subtle hints about this restaurant she wants to try, and how lonely she is, etc etc. So, like an idiot, I agree to go out with someone…

  • I don't want putting on damned socks to be a painful experience.
  • How can a human being say that to another person? Jesus. Indeed. Having to have "the talk" with someone new every time you can see third date territory coming is completely ridiculous.
  • Yep. Though, like everything, a person goes on a case by case basis. Like how some men look small and weak and emasculated by baldness, while others look fantastic bald? Same is probably true of women. No look works on everyone.

  • I got my kitchenaid as a high school graduation gift, oddly enough. A decade+ later after sustained hard use making bread dough and sausage and everything else you could imagine, its still in like new running order. My grandmother had one before I was even born, and my mother is still using it. One of the last truly high…

  • Its a harmless (unless you have very specific medical conditions) protein complex found in grain that people having been thriving on since the dawn of civilization. No worries. Another food-fad-boogieman.
  • Probably. There were some interesting statics a few years ago concerning how many children aren't actually related to their fathers. It was amazing. Ever see a couple of kids that don't look much like each other? Think about it. I think women are more likely to take it to the grave though. Men are bolder about it, more…
  • 1. If you have a degree, investigate going in as an officer. Pay is better, treatment is better, benefits are better. 2. Do not listen to recruiters. Its literally their mission to lie to you and meet quotas. 3. Think hard about which branch you want to join. There are significant cultural differences. *8 years service as…

  • A slice of bread varies between 70 and 130 or so calories. So, multiply that by two and add whatever is on the sandwich. No. Its not a big deal. My recommendation is that if your going to eat it, get the good stuff. Wonder bread and those like it, while lighter on calories, are bread only in a conceptual sense. Spring for…
  • In terms of calories, light beer is the answer, awful as it may taste. Even smaller quantities of richer, sweeter wines, especially desert wines, can have A LOT of calories, owing to the higher sugar and alcohol contents. Fortified wines like Port, Sherry, and Marsala are especially calorie dense.
  • There is nothing at all wrong with carbs. They are NOT unhealthy. That is just some bonkers idea that made it into our brains because someone wanted to make money selling low carb diets and products. However, why pay more for pasta roni when you could be making real pasta for less? Buy rice, Pasta, Potatoes. Flour, beans,…
  • No masculinity there. Nice curvage. :D
  • Its different for different people. In my case, eating more causes me to lose slower, and eating less causes me to lose faster. Which is straightforward logic that I'm perfectly happy with. "Starvation mode" and metabolic damage are both *massively* overestimated around here. At least in my case, as I've been able to…

  • I didn't say anything about "healthy", I was responding to the notion that zero calorie beverages can cause weight gain. ETA, Sorry, I did actually use that word lol. My bad. The point I was making is that water is more "healthy" than diet pop, in that it doesn't contain the chemicals. Obviously water is just water. Diet…
  • My opinion is that its a mathematical impossibility for something with zero calories to cause weight gain over any time frame. Sure, not as healthy as water. But what is?
  • Add me if you wish. I've got serious weight to lose as well, but I've banished a pretty good chunk so far with this site. :)

  • Carbs are fine. They should be the majority of your diet. 4 calories per gram, just like protein. Honestly, this anti-carb thing has been massively destructive. :(
