Not evil, just mean, it's not your kids' fault you have little to no self control.

Every morning I get up at 0430, I put on a pot of coffe and measure out 4 cups, shower, fix a cup of coffee with a teaspoon of sugar and a bit of flavored creamer. The rest goes into my travel mug with 2 teapoons of sugar and flavored creamer. I get my gun, go to post and enjoy the rest.

I could really go for a donut right now.

Is that 'put down' as in 'belittle'? Or 'put down' as in "Grandpa signed a DNR-come and say good-bye."?

When I was a kid we had this wooden furniture with pretty sharp edges. My brother, sister and I (one of us at a time) would lay in the middle of the living room with our arms and legs spread out and try to trip the other two while they ran in a circle around us. We also play a game where you jump from piece of furniture to…

I've never had this before, but it looks amazing. I approve.

I bring greek yogurt to work nearly every morning and have that and some fruit for breakfast. I know you said yogurt would spoil, but I have to say, I'm in Cuba and I've had my yogurt in the back of a patrol unit in the 90 degree humidity for hours on end-and it wasn't spoiled...either that or I have a really strong…

This. Except that I'm 31. In my late 20's, at my first duty station I got into the bad habit of thinking it was just useless, I was too old and couldn't lose weight, and couldn't get better at running. Once you get passed any mindset of 'can't' it gets easier. Easier as in you know it's difficult but it's doable. You'll…

Like others have said, it's basically up to you. Realize that you'll have good days and bad, ups and downs. As you continue to work out and eat healthy it'll get easier. But a bad meal, a bad day, even a bad week doesn't mean you need to give up forever. There's always time to get back on track again. I just lost 16 lbs in…

Well I just ran my last PRT ever, and accomplished my goal of getting an 'excellent' on the run. I guess I'll take it.

I had mine last week and still managed to lose a few pounds. I craved chocolate like normal, but I made an effort to still pay attention to what I ate. For me a Fiber One Oats and Chocolate worked for me. Also, working out helped me as well.

Guys call me grandma and old lady at work all the time, I'm 31 and a lot of them are around 21-23 who call me this. Just laugh at it and go along with it. You know you aren't old, it's just a kid being a kid. To make you laugh here are a few jokes I hear on a weekly basis: -Johndrow is so old she qualed on the musket.…

If it is, then at 31 I'm in trouble.

If I'm going to feed my face at the Galley, I have to eat all of my fruits and veggies before the 'bad for me stuff'. However, I try to keep my sodium kind of lowish, so Galley trips are few and far between any more.

-5'3" -159 lbs -Neck is about 12" -Waist is about 29" -Hips are about 40" At least that's according to the last time I was taped for my Navy mock weigh in.
-
-Drink water -Watch sodium and bad fat -Watch out for processed foods -Try to exercise at least 4 days a week -Eat more food -Stop thinking of it as a diet, it seems when people call it a 'diet' they tend to, without realizing it, limit what they can eat; they tend to think that salad is the only thing that is 'healthy'.…

Hey, well I'm in the Navy for a few more months at least, my EAS is January and although I'd like to stay in-it's apparently not meant to be. Nonetheless I'm looking at jobs that are pretty physical in nature and looking good and feeling healthy are important whether in the military or out.
-
Just wanted to say great job on all the hard work and congrats.

All of these posts are absolutely scary. I'm going to need a job in January and all I read 'Doom and Gloom!' I really hope I can find something by then. Until then I spend as little and save as much as possible.

Like so many others, I agree veggies and pita bread. There was a coffee shop back in Arizona that had the best hummus with pita and vegetables. The pita was cut into triangles and you put on the hummus and the veggies that came with it; lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, sprouts, and mushrooms. To this day I haven't found hummus…

Why are so many autocorrects sexual in nature? I really feel like the people who input these programs into phones have dirty minds laugh their *kitten* off when they here/read about embarassing texts sent by people.

if it is, I missed the boat.

Fish, eggs, cottage cheese (downside to this is the sodium), greek yogurt, chicken.

I used to think that guys were lucky and lost weight more easily, and that once I hit 30 my metabolism lowered so it was useless for me to even try-then I actually paid attention to what I ate and my workouts and the pounds melted off. Sure, I gain it back when I eat like a trash compacter and my exercises wanes, but…
