Some research indicates undesirable hormone responses in women (not sure if you're male or female), but you might want to look into that/consider it. Having said that, I've done 24/36 hour fasts (twice recently just because and quite a few times over the years on particular religious days).

Definitely an unhealthy relationship with food... it was/is a crutch, anxiety-response, and "friend" that I turn(ed) to on a regular basis. No bueno.

Unless you're talking about food that someone gives you- no food is "FREE" food. A calorie is a calorie.. they are all energy.. excess energy is stored regardless of source. So yes- count the calories in fruits and veggies.

Definitely look into doggie daycare/sitters... a lot of vet offices do it too- for a dog his size I think it would've been around $6/day at the office I worked at a few years ago.

Lying, manipulating, general deviousness are deal-breakers... intelligence and ability to have FUN are a must. Lack of libido, lack of interest in health and wellness, and anti-alcohol are deal-shakers (not the end of the line but definitely cause some re-evaluating).
