Don't you mean keytones?

Carb intake is strongly correlated with brain function. Just putting that out there.

This is a good post. I'll add that people often jump to Step Three, ignoring Step One and Step Two.

You flat out said to cut out fruit for a while. Look, fruit is healthy. Fruit is great. Fruit is good for you. Any diet plan or nutritional theory that leads one to the conclusion that cutting out fruit "for a while" is beneficial, let alone necessary, is a bad one.

Frozen pizza is one serving per box. IMO, anyway.
-
Indeed. Thank you for pointing that out for me. I was concerned it was someone else's opinion and not mine. Bless you.

Doesn't matter who the advice is aimed at. It's terrible advice.

I'm not sure it has worked for her. She's been here 4 years, has only made it halfway to her goal, and her vata dosha is still extremely out of balance. And she consumes honey daily, which is pretty much pure processed sugar and contains large amounts of fructose. Think about that for a minute. She considers honey, which…

I rarely eat fruit. I don't really like it. There's nothing wrong with not eating fruit. What's wrong is telling someone not to eat fruit because it contains sugar. The advice is bad. The reasoning behind the advice is worse: that one should "detox" from sugar. The reasoning is faulty and the conclusion is ridiculous. The…

Also, I looked up the symptoms of an out of balance vata dosha, which you claim you have according to your profile. Symptoms include being underweight, fatigue, poor stamina, rough skin, etc. That describe you?

I don't think anyone is angry. Perhaps you're projecting?
-
Oh, so you couldn't make your own, you could make something slightly similar but in fact totally different. Gotcha. In other news, I just finished a Double Down. It was delicious and filling.
-
You didn't say remove fruits, you said to cut them out for a while. What's the difference? Sorry, your advice is awful, ridiculous, and is borne from a gross misunderstanding of biology and nutrition. My advice stands: anyone who tells you to cut out fruit, for any length of time, should be completely ignored about…

To the OP and anyone else reading along..... If anyone ever tells you to cut out fruits and/or vegetables, tell them to go jump in a lake, and ignore anything they ever say about anything ever.
-
Because he spent so much time thanking Jesus he forgot to thank the actual human being.
-
The OP expressed no thanks to the actual human being. He said that Jesus rocks, that God has his back, and "look at GOD!" He didn't say "this young lady ROCKS!" or "this great person really had my back! Look at her!" Nope. It's Jesus that rocks, and God that has his back. The person just did the actual work and doesn't…
-
Or the actual human being who went through the trouble of picking up the keys and bringing them somewhere. Nah. Forget that jerk. It was just God guiding his actions.
-
Oh really? It's just all part of the plan? The plan is **** and whoever is in charge of it is an *******.
-
I know, right?
-
Well, beyond the fact that your attribution of the "miracle" to god takes responsibility away from the actual human being who did something awesome, how did CVS know your email address from just your key ring??

1) The human body really, really doesn't like being in a calorie deficit. Really. This makes sense when you realize that the human body literally consumes itself to make up for the missing calories. It responds by making you crave high-calorie foods; particularly those rich in carbs and fats. 2) The human mind really,…

You could be overestimating calories burned while running, or underestimating what you're eating. After 3 weeks with a net increase of 3 lbs I'd say it's likely your intake isn't what it should be.

The devil knows how to party.

You may be eating more than you think. Open your diary.

That girl is a sorceress. Seriously. I think we may be onto something here.

You get slimmer thighs by losing weight. The more resistance training you do on your leg muscles, the more shapely and firm they will be as you lose weight. If you just keep doing cardio your legs will get smaller but will have a looser, jigglier, fattier look.

Don't forget the pizza. And tacos. Pizza, tacos, and whey. Done.

The best time to work out is the time that is most convenient for him. In general, especially for beginners, time of day is incredibly insignificant when compared to routine and compliance. If working out at 11 AM is slightly better than doing it at 8 PM, that won't matter if he never wants to go to the gym by the time 8…

Depends on your goals and training. Most here, myself included, will recommend a relatively high-protein diet (on the order of 100-200 grams per day depending on your body). High protein diets have been firmly established to be muscle-sparing; that is, while losing weight, you will lose less lean mass eating high protein…

Then you are simply ill-informed about nutrition and performance. You are also ill-informed about the nature of scientific study.
