I would love to join this thread. I am 5'4 and been stuck at 160 for ages! I've been doing MFP for 2 months and love the support nd it truly makes me much more conscience of my choices. Just need the scale to budge downward! It's soooo easy to gain weight, even if it is water weight, and impossible to lose the last little…

Did you up your cals/lower your cals/switch cals around?? Cardio changes? Or just kept keeping on? What finLly got the scale budging?
-
I'm not going to give up... It's too easy to gain weight to give up;). But OMG it's so hard and challenging to lose anything but cheat at all and there it is, even if it's water weight! Sorry for the rant but I really do appreciate the encouragement

How'd you find this??? I want to do it!!! My main question is how do you know if your metabolism is slower than it should be or If the weight is for other reasons
-
You lost a pound! That's great! Keep it up. The other alternative is you could be up a pound. Maybe try upping cals by 50 or so to see if that helps speed it up but sometimes it just takes some time.

Take it daily. I feel great and it helps my workouts but I haven't seen any great fat affects But it's not a magic pill. Only been a couple weeks and it doesn't make me jittery or stay awake either like some people have clamimes

Thanks all! I will up my water and protein. At least I'm not alone:(. How quickly does it drop off for you? I've never really payed very close attention is why I ask

WhAtever you do, make sure you log your weight consistently. If you have always logged your night weight then log the night time weight. I it has always been you have logged your morning weight then only log the morning weight. Don't mix the two or you are going to be really confused

L-carnitine and green tea extract can aid as a tool but not without proper nutrition and calories in and out. Dr. Os did a show on fat burners/metabolism boosters. Just google his website and there are some others there

I was doing the same thing and everyone told me to really watch the sodium and that it was water weight. I totally didn't believe them either. So I started tracking and watching sodium intake and guess what I finally lost the weight I was stuck at. Double your water, try green tea for water retention, and watch sodium.…

I love every Everyday paleo! Great recipes and advice! Everydaypaleo.com or find her on Facebook

You are absolutely right. Just because you weigh less does not mean you have lean muscle. If you've lost weight it is very possible to have lost lean muscle and not fat. You need to add strength training to your exercise regimen. I do crossfit and I know that I have lost only body fat as I watch both very carefully

I have been in the same exact boat. I have struggled with the same weight for months. Then I decided to stop doing what wasn't working and upped my calories up a lot. From 1200 to almost 1500. I have now been losing. I have a to-yo affect, so we will see if it stays off. I have also watched my sodium and increased my water…

I have been eating something like 80% paleo for a few months. I feel so much better and even though it is restrictive, it is manageable and I feel indulgent when eating my meals. I went from a bowl of cereal for breakfast to eggs and peppers and mushrooms for example. Doesn't take much more time, even though it sounds like…

THANK YOU!!!! tried to figure that out for 2 days;)

How do you change the ratios of protein/fat/carbs on MFP?
-
I went to a health supplement store. Try there, but someone said ebay
-
Thanks! I will definately look on eBay. The woman at the supplement store also recommended the other one you mentioned. I'm willing to try them

I have done the Master Cleanse before with a group of friends. Yes, there was weight loss, but for everyone I have talked to, most of it came back. However, I do still believe in it for the detoxing benefits. Very difficult to stay on, more because of the mental desire to eat. However, I am convinced it kicked start me to…

I truly agree and besides a few meals this week that I truly cheated, I really do eat clean. I have cut complex carbs on a daily/meal to meal basis. I had the one slice of a personal pan pizza that my daughter didn't eat and some fries with my lettuce wrapped grilled chicken. Absolutely I understand I have to watch those…

My question about logging exercise/movement instead of just listing yourself as active is how exact should I be?? I literally walk for 9 hours a day, that is a ton of calories. It feels wrong to me to put cleanIng toilets and chasing kids as exercise???

That is true about my food diary for the last few days. But overall I do eat a zone ratio with 40/30/30. I also am crazy about writing down every bad thing I eat thinking it must be the small choices that add up. But even with those choices it isn't budging. I gained this morning. Is that because of the bad choices even…
