Yep. I hug pretty much everyone.

I think the very first thing you should consider are your shoes. If you haven't invested in really good shoes, I'd take the time to go to a local running store where they can watch you run on a treadmill and get properly fitted with the right one. I've had hip, hamstring, and foot issues that I never thought would go…

I'm also glad that you went to the local running store. If you like the shoe a lot and want to save money in the future, wait until they are about to release the new/next version and go back to the store and buy a couple pairs of your current version when they go on sale. I always have a couple pairs of sale steals stashed…

I've worn my bodymedia fit in bikram and end up with about a 200 - 250 calorie burn for the 90 minute class. I get about the same burn for a hatha class in a non-heated room.

I've had the same problem after long runs during warmer weather. As other's have said, I think it might be electrolytes. I try to drink a lot of water during runs, but I know I always fall short in consuming enough and not being able to replace electolytes adequately. I've recently added s-caps and they seem to have helped…

I don't know. They have no arms.

I'd recommend Matt Fitzgerald's "Racing Weight" to help with a sensible way to eat between now and the beginning of your next race.

When I go to yoga and I'm lying on the mat searching for some kind of zen moment, my mind is never still and I'm always thinking of all the other things I should be doing. However, when I hit the road (or better yet, the trail), I can run for miles and miles and my mind is calm.

I just ran two marathons (one trail/one road) two weeks apart with the only goal of finishing. The second one was harder, but I finished. I think that back-to-back weekends would have been do-able. One thing I've noticed is that it's taking me a lot longer to recover after the second one. I also ran the Seattle Quadzuki…

Allergy meds can do that to you for sure. (As well as make your eyes dry and nose bleed.) I am one of those salty sweat people. I hate it when it gets in my mouth when I run. Although not too ladylike, I have no issues with rinsing with the water in my bottle and spitting it on the ground.

C - unless trail running counts as cross-training (I know it probably doesn't, but it does use the muscles a lot differently than road running. I do core workouts about 5 days per week, strength training 2 - 3 days per week, and yoga 1 - 2 days per week in addition to running.

My nose runs like crazy when I run this time of year due to allergies. I used to just "blow and go" but that gave me a bloody nose on and off for days after the run. Someone suggested that I carry a hanky with me - it works.

Matt Fitzgerald's "Racing Weight" is a great source for balancing weight loss with training.

I generally take one dose of ibuprofen after runs that are longer than a half marathon but nothing more than that.

Gorgeous run. I'm hoping to do the Beacon Rock 50K with Rainshadow in June for similar scenery.
