I drink the Starbucks drinks with green coffee bean extract all the time. It's just like coffee as far as effect. Perhaps not even as strong. I've taken to Red Bull the last few weeks.

I agree... I think I look older. Granted, at my heaviest I looked worse, but somewhere in between my face looked best.

Not getting wasted off a glass of red. Seriously. This is bs.

I was half-heartedly reading this thread, but your profile picture cracked me up. I may need to steal that one. Thanks for the wake up!

Just random numbers.... I was a 38F, had a reduction down to a 38C. 5 pounds gone in just a few hours. Bliss.

The weight gain is more related to increased appetite than anything else. If you are mindful of what you are eating, you will probably be okay. I'm not certain, but it sounds like you may not have been watching what you were eating before, where now you're tracking with MFP - so circumstances are different already! Good…

There's not a nutrition calculator on Pizza hut's website? Or is it just a generic type layout? I can't remember - I know I've used it, but I tend to stick to the same thing nearly every time I go, so I haven't used it recently. (My BFF and I tend to do wing wednesday lunches!) I hope that helps!

You have to look at the whole picture. OP has a goal loss of 17 pounds - which isn't a lot. So an 8 pound loss is actually AWESOME in comparison. Eventually, you stop losing quickly once you're closer to goal weight.

*Sigh....* I wish I had been this lucky. Breastfeeding for me means that I can't lose an ounce. I just hold onto the fat for dear life.

Conceived my son around 215. Left the hospital with a newborn at 188. Conceived with my daughter around 195. Left the hospital at 178. Then it crept up from there. But the moral of my story is - you don't have to gain weight. Granted, I was heavy to start with, but baby + fluids usually = approx. 20-25 pounds - so that's a…

Zela - Nope, highly unlikely.

LOVE THIS.

I would pay large amounts of money for this problem. In fact, I already paid large amounts of money to lost 5 pounds of boob.... but I'd like to lose more. For the record, I'm totally jealous and would trade any day.

Weight loss isn't always a guarantee that attraction will be there, or that the sex drive will. I'm now far more insecure than I was when I weighed 50, 60+ pounds more. I also have a better idea of what my husband's ideal is - which is totally not my ideal for myself. I could go on and on, but it really comes down to this…

I think I had the wording wrong. Perhaps I meant... ...wait, nevermind. That's inappropriate. :ohwell:

Welcome to Earth. People think I'm nuts. People tell me I'm doing it the wrong way. (I've heard as much as "just stop eating carbs" to "if you visualize yourself skinny it will happen" to "drink lots of really cold water because it's a negative calorie food and you'll be fine". SIGH) People think I'm obsessive. (And I'm so…

I beat my husband with a stick all the time, and I find him attractive...... We can argue everything comes back to sex. But what I disagree with is that this is our humanity overall. I think we are slowly evolving to care less about the sexual/offspring benefit anymore. Not to say that it's not still an important current…

True this. Honestly, the wine has not seemed to inhibit my loss whatsoever.
-
Huh. That explains everything. My house is a hot mess at all times.

Protein. Add shakes, adds calories and protein. I don't struggle with this much, but I do long bike rides and feed myself with gu packs and such along the way, too. I hope that helps! (p.s., my favorite calorie filler is wine. Shhhh.....don't tell!)

I understand your fear. I've been lucky in that the weight that I put on was not from pregnancy, and a good chunk of the total weight I've lost (not reflected on MFP) was due to pregnancy. I got yelled at for losing weight for a while - finally I got to the point where I ate crap food constantly for a few weeks to try to…

Busy mom = me. I work from my office two days a week, sans kids.... they go to daycare twice a week. The rest of the week I work with them, either at home or in the car. My job requires that I check houses weekly, which involves about two full business days of driving. It's exhausting. Mostly mentally - because my son…

Be patient. I did the same thing, I gained for about three weeks, and then it literally FELL off, plus more. Hang in there!

ODD - Oppositional defiant disorder OCD - Obsessive compulsive disorder. ODD is a little more controversial - some mental health practitioners believe it's just a label to put on someone who stands up for what they believe in. I have a kid that stands up for what he believes in. I would never medicate him for it - I would…

I disagree with this statement. And this isn't anything against you, but my MIL medicated her two sons for everything under the sun - literally, they were so drugged up, and she was convinced they were ADHD/ADD/OCD/ODD/bipolar, etc. She was bothered enough by the fact that they liked to go outside and dig in the dirt,…
