You look fantastic, good work!!! Katie

I agree it depends on your build. I'm 5'11", and a medium frame, and at 160 I was pretty thin, I could never do 140 pounds, my body wouldn't let me, and I looked pretty decent at 180 too. My goal now is 170, that would be thrilling :) Katie

You look great! Nice work! Katie

You're doing great! You'll be at your goal before you know it! Katie

I'm 5'11", and would love to see myself back at 165-170 pounds, when I was that weight, people thought I was much lighter, because being so tall really carried the weight very well. I've got a long road ahead, and would love the support of other tall ladies! Feel free to friend me if you're interested in another buddy!…

I'm currently an 18/20, I'd love to see a size 10 in my wardrobe again, but a 12 is more then respectable on me (I'm 5'11") Katie

I don't think I said food with fat was inherently bad, or that they make you fat, what I was saying was say you were having pizza for dinner, and two pizza slices was a recommended serving and didn't go over your daily cals/fat budget, but while taking Alli or Xenical you decided to go nuts (eat poorly as I said in my other…

Congrats! That's fantastic! Katie

We have similar goals :) I want to lose 80 pounds by next July. I'm currently 252 pounds (and 5'11"), I would love to be 170 by July, which would make me about a size 12 and very very happy! Friend me if you like! Katie

I have taken Xenical, which is the same drug but double the strength, and did experience some unwelcome side effects which ultimately made me quit. However, its a negative reinforcement drug right? If you eat poorly while you're taking it, you will experience the negative effect and hopefully that will motivate you to eat…

Thanks everyone! Off to do some squats now ;) Katie

Do I need to hold weights while doing them, or is body weight enough? Are sumo squats okay? I find them way easier on my knees. Katie

Thanks everyone! Katie

Hi everyone. I was just told today that I have underactive thyroid, and I have a script for Synthroid I'll start today. I'm hoping that getting this under control will help me with my weight loss and also with the hair loss I've been experiencing. I'm looking forward to reading more in this thread when I get the time, but…

Thanks Kristi! I'm feeling better already! Katie

Thank you so much :) Katie

My trouble is letting a "stumble" turn into a fall, it's letting my emotions and my stress get the best of me one day, and finding myself struggling to get back on the wagon the next day. I let myself get lost in the busyness of the day and I make excuses for myself, and thus, I never get beyond that initial discomfort to…

Welcome and Good Luck!! Katie

Thanks :) I've had great success with MFP before, and have loved the sense of community and support, I hope to really use it to the full now and hopefully get myself on track again! Katie

You look FANTASTIC! Good work! Katie

Hmm, I thought I was just posting for motivation and support, I don't have a question, only seeking motivation, and support. Katie

Someone her on MFP has directed me to online OA meetings, I have been to three today, and I am FOUND! How wonderful, send me a message if you want to know more :) Katie

To all of you, please feel free to add me as a friend, I would be happy to offer you my support! Katie

Glad so many people have jumped in here, thank you all for sharing, and for the friend adds! Katie

Well, since I'm not a member of OA and don't plan on attending in the near future, what is next for me is open discussion, accountibility, honesty with myself and others about my eating habits, and leaning on God and friends for support when I really struggle with breaking my dependancy on food, and I will need to do this…
