Have you connected them? Through the connect apps tab? If so, and they still raen't working, well, mine aren't syncing since yesterday afternoon either. It seems there might be some issue.
-
Yesterday it stopped syncing from fitbit about half way through the day, and I've yet to see a sync today. MFP is sending the information about food to fitbit, but there are no calorie updates from fitbit to mfp.

I used to, but I realized it didn't work for me. The reason was (if I can explain it without rambling) is that if I set my activity to sedentary and I want to lose 2lbs a week, I get 1200 calories, but that is only losing about 1lb a week. So fitbit adjusts that up as I move more, and I never am able to get that 1k calorie…

I used to believe that 180 was the weight my body wanted to be because it seemed to hover there. The reason, however, was simply because I was used to eating at the maintenance calories for that weight. It was habit. So when I'd lose weight, I'd go back to eating that amount and gain back to that point. I've since learned…

It takes time to relearn how o hula hoop! It's fun exercise, but don't expect to be able to do it well at first, hah. I got one expecting to do it fine right away, and it took a lot of practice just to be able to keep it up.

If they don't have a free pass, try to do the visit during the busy after work hours (or whenever you would normally go) so you can see how busy it is. Questions are less important than observing things. Is it clean? Are people cleaning up after themselves? Do They have the equipment you want? Are their hours good? Do they…

I dont want to just lose weight, I want to lose body fat and achieve better health. I could eat 500 calories a day and lose super fast, but it would harm my health. When I go too low on my calories, I don't fuel my body. This isn't a me vs it thing. Without fueling my body properly, I lose muscles and am unable to complete…

You can't. And try to see it from her point of view. You talk about how you didn't realize you'd gotten so big. What if two years ago she'd told you that you needed to lose weight. I'm sure you'd heard it from others, and it never went well, did it? You didn't change until YOU were ready to. She will be the same. People…

Well, you can eat portions of what they eat, or similar versions. Like when my family has beef tacos I make myself a burrito with lots of veggies and beans. It's similar but a little lower calorie. I'll skip cheese or sour cream sometimes to bring the count down. I eat little diet food, other than fruits and veggies, so…

My biggest tip is to decide what you want first and prelog it. I can stick to a plan very well, but if I walk in hungry, it seems all my good intentions go out the door. Also, get what you like. You're helping no one if you order something you don't like to try and be good. Often you'll end up binging later. I plan in what…

The adjustment depends on the difference between what mfp thinks you should burn and what fitbit says you burned. This means if you are set at sedentary you will see much larger adjustments. Whether they are accurate or not can only be known if you are sure your calories in are spot on, then compare what you lose over a…
-
Also, fitbit and mfp aren't syncing correctly today for me. So, it could have issues there for you.
-
Do you mean the adjustment is less? If so, it is because it does an adjustment based on your total expected calorie burn for the day compared to what mfp expects you to burn. So that exercise increased your expected burn for the total day by 47 calories.

I got it thinking I'd use it, but changed my mind. I liked the idea of setting different goals for different days, but ended up feeling like it didn't work for me. Likewise, I thought turning off the exercise calories would be great, but found I do better with a smaller goal and using the exercise calories as motivation.…

I read that book too I think. The Petite Advantage or something. It was a lot of myth, about trying to speed up your metabolism and stuff. Can cardio make you hungry? Sure, but you should be eatif at least a part of your exercise calories if you're following MFP so that isnt bad. Just don't go overboard.

You can add it in the fitbit app, just make sure the start and end times are right. It will overwrite the data it has with what you supply it for that time, so no double dipping.
-
That you need to eat a big breakfast and themn eat a small dinner. I believed this so long and it sabotages me! I eat very little during the day and eat 80 or 90 percent of my calories after 6pm and lose weight because it helps me keep my calories under my limit and having large meals at the end of the day and snacking…

I started a few months ago in my first group class, which is like an orange theory class. I am obese and never had done any real work outs, and it killed me! My heart rate was at 97% of my max in a minute of walking on the treadmill! It was hard to stick with it, but I'm glad I did, ive improved so much. The big thing was…

First, are you able to click on the adjustment? When I do, it gives me a breakdown of the numbers. It tells me I've burned, for example, 1500 so far , so it expects me to burn 2000 by the end of the day, and then shows that the difference between that last number and my mfp estimate is that adjustment. You still burn…
-
I don't have that program, but my gym offers classes like the orange theory, which promise the same afterburn. Personally, I haven't seen any such increase in my burns for the day, so I wouldn't buy a program just for that. Pick something you enjoy so you'll keep with it.

Lots of people weigh daily and track it without a wifi scale. Does it make it easier? Sure. Does a person need one to track that data? Nope.
-
I wouldn't, not with 8 other people. It seems like becoming the center of attention. And, to be fair, you can learn to eyeball amounts at home, if you're trying to see if you're right. It doesn't need to be tested at a restaurant with 8 other people. I'd understand more if you were trying to see if a restaurant portion was…

I can tell you that when I let my calories go too low, I have trouble sleeping. I have no idea why, it isn't that I am hungry, but it usually ques me in that I need more calories

I have it and love it. I weigh everyday to see fluctuations, so it automatically adding my results saves me a bit of time, and I don't have to remember the weight or rush over and input it. The bf isn't that accurate, but for trends it seems to work.
-
Just as a reminder, the addition will depend on your settings. Someone who is set to sedentary will receive larger adjustments than someone set as active. The adjustment is the difference between what mfp thinks you will burn and what fitbit says you have. So, 10k could be 1000 calories in someone set as sedentary, but…
-
That is similar to what it gives me for that number of steps. If you click the more info part, it will explain that it gives the adjustment because of the difference between what mfp think you'll burn based on your activity level you selected, and what fitbit says you actually burn. Whether or not it is accurate only you…

I have that in my gym. Honestly, there are so many factors. 450 is a good burn! Those others might have more because they are heavier, taller, male, or push themselves more (including not taking breaks). Don't try to compare though. It will drive you crazy! Just focus on your own heart rate, your zones (if you're doing…

I've noticed that when I'm being rude is when I get rude remarks back. I don't even mean to be, but sometimes when we are excited about new lifestyle changes we can be jerks. "Oh, no thanks, doughnuts are terrible for you." Or "Starbucks is so unhealthy, I can't believe I used to put that crap in my body!" It's easy to say…

My balance isn't great, so I have a "hell no" moment each time the trainer wants us to do balance movements. Like, squats on the bosu ball, or single leg squats, or some of the trx movements. I'm like. . . look, my body just doesn't do that. Hah

I've had the opposite experience with mine. I feel it overestimates my walks. I will take a lesuirly 20 minute walk and get 170 calories for it.
