6/16/12 Morning Weight:188lbs This morning I took my body fat percentage and had a new low of 13.1%, woo!!! I'm getting closer and closer each week. Today will be a different than any other day I've posted. I have no workouts scheduled today, other than foam rolling and I'll be mowing the grass to make up for me skipping…

What is your current body fat%? That would determine protein consumption as well as overall daily calories. Your intake daily should be the same. This is an example: 40f/120c/100p Then if you're not losing weight on that, taper carbs down a little after a few weeks and add a tiny bit of cardio until your body weight starts…

Don't split hairs until it's needed. I use to do this too and I wouldn't start until I have everything figured and what happened? I never started. You don't have to have complete control of everything. Do what you do - enjoy and watch your body change. Visit my log and post any questions you have in there! Take care.

At 415lbs, you could easily eat more than 1200 calories a day and still lose 5lbs+ per week. It's always better to start higher and work your way lower. Say, start at 2500 and keep at that until weight loss slows, then lower it 100 calories. Keep it simple. Just make sure to exercise consistently. Both cardio and strength…
-
That's ok! What's your plan of attack? I've lost 120lbs and would love to help.
-
Don't worry about supplements, except Protein powder is good to use to hit your protein macro needs. Strength training is awesome.
-
That's very bold of you to say I'm wrong. I simply stated that what you said isn't always the case. Some people do have certain shapes, but with the right macro-nutrient breakdown and strength training you can change your body composition. That's a scientific fact. What you said isn't.
-
I would do like 15-20 mins pre workout, really low intensity. Then adjust calories as needed. What's your plan of attack for calories and macro-nutrients?
-
Strength training is awesome and important. Don' t follow her meal plans, but the workout should be..okay. It's a start. Create your diet to your specific needs.
-
I don't think anything the above poster said is exactly the case. Get back into the gym, do something consistent and keep your diet consistent and make adjustments as needed.
-
Keep it steady where you are for a bit longer, you haven't been in the game much yet. Hope all is well.

Today will be a different day for me in terms of diet. I rarely drink, but with one of my best friends turning 21, I plan to celebrate with him. What I am going to do is subtract my alcohol calories from my carbs and fat from the day before and the day of "the event". THE WORKOUT - 6/15/12 WU= warm up, WS= working set, PR…

Thanks Sean! I all did was prove it was possible for you. YOU did all the dirty work man! See you at our next session bro!
-
Well said.
-
That all depends on what your weight is doing. Are you still losing with those calories? Are you gaining? or are you staying the same?
-
A detox isn't going to do anything for fat loss at all. Just a steady consistent diet at a calorie deficit will do the trick. What is your current intake?
-
Flat out flat bread, FF cheese, low fat turkey pepperoni, marinara and mushrooms - kept it simple Thanks! What's your plan of attack?
-
Nope, just eat when you're hungry bro!
-
I like that. For me, I love to dead lift.
-
Trial and error, my friend. Started at 1900 if you like and if you don't lose - you'll know you need to eat less.
-
It's not that complicated. Eat your grains, just stay with in your macro-nutrient goals. If you are allowed say..250 carbs each day...eat whatever types of carbs you enjoy to eat to fit into your limit.
-
I agree with the other poster, I only "officially" track my weight on 1 day each week, Thursday for me.. However, I do weight myself everyday just to learn about my body and how it reacts to what I put in it.
-
That is not true. Eat whenever you want. Just stay with in your macro-nutrients needs for the day! I love to eat a sweet something before I hit the sack.
-
Let me know if you ever need any help!
-
What foods are you eating with high sodium? Also, typically as long as you keep your sodium intake pretty consistent you shouldn't see any day-to-day weight fluctuations.
-
All depends on your budget but...the brand "Life Fitness" is REALLY good quality.

Today, I trained legs with a client of mine. He has also lost 100+lbs and lurks this forum. I've been working with him on building muscle after always being in the "losing weight" mind set. THE WORKOUT - 6/14/12 WU= warm up, WS= working set, PR = personal record, WEIGHTXREPS Barbell Squat WU 45x15 WU 135x10 WU 225x3 WS…

Thanks guys - If you ever need any help or advice don't hesitate to post. I'll be here to answer any questions and give encouragement!

Don't eat back the calories you burn. 1200 seems low. What is your current weight? Male or female? How much exercise do you get weekly?

Get it get it^^
