I'm 22, F, and 197lbs :) I eat 1650 calories a day and am losing weight at a rate of just over 1lb a week. I worked out my BMR and TDEE to find my calories. I put myself as sedentary so on days that I work out I can eat a little more, if I need it. I just checked and MFP recommends I eat 1570 calories a day, so it's pretty…

I don't know about that particular place but go for lean meat (chicken) with as little sauce all over it as possible. Then you can have some fries/ salad with it and not be too bad. Remember that it's okay to not eat the whole portion you're given. It's a special occasion- you didn't gain weight because of one birthday…

I'm 197lbs and 2 weeks into Insanity- it does get easier! Take as many breaks as you need but not as many as you want, if that makes sense. You'll soon be doing it with less breaks and faster reps :)

I add anything that's not "usual" for me. So, I'd add a morning walk but not walking to work, even if they were the same length.

Homemade apple crumble (with lots of crumble) and cider.

I log my exercise and half the calories MFP estimates that I've burnt. I only eat them back when I'm really hungry though. There's no point being hungry and miserable but if you don't eat them back you get more weight loss for that day. So, just listen to your body. Drink some water and have a scheduled meal after…

I work out as late at night as I can- normally 10pm. It's the best way for me- after exercising I'm exhausted and good for nothing but a quick shower and sleep :)
-
I'm the same as you- I try not to weight myself every day but often do. I only record the number if I'm down for 2 days in a row or up for 3 days in a row.

It's up to you. We can't make you want to keep going or make you decide to give up. If I were you I would not worry about "dieting" or exercising more than usual for a month. Just honestly log what you eat on here for one month. Get into the habit of it. Then you can set an overall calorie target for your day that gives…

It depends on your weight too- I'm 5'5" and am eating 1650 a day and losing at a good rate.

You can get loads of free cardio workouts online that you can do in your house without any equipment. You workout seems good but you should have 1 or 2 rest days and, if it were me, I'd add in a long walk or cardio fitness DVD one day a week at least. Change things up a little

I've gone from 210-198 (12lbs) and my bf already says he sees a difference. I've lost an inch from my waist and an inch from my hips too. It's not a lot but it's enough to make some kind of difference :)
-
I don't have any answer except that I'm at the same point. I'm still wearing the same size I did before losing my 12lbs. Don't worry too much. Take your measurements again and see where you're losing from :)

It really depends what's on offer- the BBQ is easy enough- don't eat too much bread and try to stick to meats which haven't been marinating in something terrible for you for hours. There should be salad things around- just don't go crazy with the dressing and you're fine. As with indian food I'm not really sure. When I get…

I've 50+ to lose (first goal weight is 150lbs). Feel free to add me since we're pretty much doing the same weight loss (same goal weight)

I would say that you're vastly overeating on your gym days. I severely doubt that you're burning 2000 calories in a work out, even one as long as yours. Gym machines, MFP and even HRM are all inaccurate to different degrees about calories burnt. As long as you're not injuring yourself then workout as much as you like to…

I use this ( http://insanitycalories.com/ ) one now but a few others were giving me the same idea. I never say that I've been working out with high intensity even if I probably have.
-
It's hard. Like really hard. If you've not done exercise in a while then you MIGHT not be up for it. It's pretty easy to injure yourself during it if you don't know your own limits. If you're careful to listen to your own body and not injure yourself you'll be fine. If you can't walk properly after the first one you're…

I've not done Bob Harper's but when I'm doing Insanity (HIIT) I've been using Aerobics: High Impact. It's been giving me numbers close to that which online calculators say I should be burning for my level of activity.

I crave chocolate, crisps AND fizzy drink all the time. This may not be the best advice to be healthy but it's working so far for me: For fizzy drink I have changed over to Coke Zero. I have it as little as I can but I still give in. It's hard enough to be "dieting" without taking away everything you love. For chocolate I…

As everyone else said- listen to your body and stop. I've been doing Insanity on "easy" for the last 3 weeks. I do it for 3-4 days in a row and then have a 1-2 day break. I've just finished week 2. On top of this I have been walking and swimming. It won't give you the amazing results you see in the before/after pics but…

It really depends on what size you are- I'm rather large breasted and have to wear a sized sports bra (shockabsorber) with a crop top looking sports bra over the top. But you could probably get away with one or other of those if you're smaller or less vigorous in your exercising :)

Just to warn you- I'm pretty new here but I used a similar site before this and think I know what I'm talking about. I don't want to sound like I know everything. Different people have different ways of doing this. IMO most people on here can eat much more than 1200 calories and lose weight. It all depends on how much you…

Put it this way- I can swim for *hours* without any problems. I can on an exercise bike for an hour without any problems. I can walk for 5-10 miles without any problems. I can't run for 5 minutes. I'm a 34GG.

1) 20s 2) 200lbs 3) UK 4) sedentary 5) 3-5 times a week (only in the last month- before then 0-1 times a week) 6) cereal (weetabix or bran flakes), a cheese tomato and spinach wrap or nothing 6) dinner (evening meal) 7) 2 main meals with 2-3 snacks (and occasional 3rd main meal) 8) Water- 3 glasses a day. other drinks- 3…

Weighing the oil before and after is a good idea- it's what I do for most dips etc that I eat. You could also weigh the tortillas before and after? Presumably the weight change would be almost entirely made up of the oil that's soaked into them?
-
You'll be fine. In terms of losing weight "all calories are equal". However, junk food will make you feel less full, provide less nutrients etc and are just generally not that good an idea. So, it's much better to eat healthy food than junk. Every once in a while won't matter too much though.
-
Hey, I'm a few weeks into my first time on mfp if you want to add me? I'm 22 from the UK and have about 50lbs to lose.

Well, t's difficult to give advice without any real information. The most obvious thing is that the person isn't measuring their food accurately enough and is actually eating more than they think. If they are honestly measuring EVERYTHING with a digital scale/ measuring jug then the next possible thing is have they worked…
