According to a fitness magazine I got in the post, vitamin D can prevent depression, so getting more in your diet (supplements, oily fish, sun) will improve your energy levels.

I went from anorexia to binge-eating (doubled my weight in less than a year, back in 2012). Both disorders still haunt me and I know that I will never just wake up and be healed. I binged yesterday and was tempted to fast and exercise like crazy today, but I forced myself to make the sensible decision to eat normally and…

Are you drinking enough water? I had a look through your diary and you seem to be over on the sodium and carbs quite a few times. These will retain water (=more weight) if you're not staying hydrated. Try drinking around 3 L (100 US fl oz) water each day.

Congrats on the progress you've already made! Are you taking pictures? Those can really help when you feel that there isn't much change. Drinking more water is just something you need to teach yourself. Try making it a habit to drink 1-2 glasses of water first thing in the morning. You might have to "force" yourself at…

Do you drink coffee? You could try bulletproof coffee (add coconut oil and unsalted grass-fed butter (Kerrygold)) If you have a small appetite, then I would suggest getting more calories from liquids. Try sports/recovery/protein drinks

My aunt is the same way - always trying to sabotage my weight-loss efforts and she did manage for a while, until I fully realised that I'm the only one who can decide what I put in my mouth. These days she still offers me sweets and other crap, but I take pride in turning her down and not eating anything she tells me to.…

Are you drinking enough? You might be dehydrated and, thus, putting on water weight. If you're sure that you're logging everything accurately, not gaining muscle, and can rule out health problems, then water might be the solution. Another good way to break a stall is fasting. (I follow a ketogenic diet, so know that fat…

Doesn't matter if the OP hasn't logged in for ages. The rest of us are still going strong ;)

I run during winter and I have a few tips on getting dressed: -wear layers (I use thermal undergarments, then shorts on top, and a wind-proof, snug jacket) -hat (ears get very cold if not protected) -long socks, rolled down to keep my ankles warm (this is a personal preference) -you can also get spikes for your shoes, if…

25 years old, looking to lose about 10 kg (goal is to do so this year). My plan is keto and lots of exercise. Anyone, feel free to add me!
-
Yes, I definitely need to lose at least 20 lbs by Christmas Feel free to add me!

The answer and question are very relative... The lower your starting weight, the harder it will be to lose. Also, depends on your definition of "fast" Although, in general, research has shown that people on low-carb diets lose weight faster than people on low-fat diets. So try Keto/Atkins/low-carb

"Sometimes running sucks. You're tired, it's early and it's cold. You don't wanna. Till you lace up and remember why you love the run." -Run pretty far "Even a bad run is better than no run" This is what I go to when I don't feel like going. You don't have to run the whole 1 h 15 min - just go for 15 or 30 min - it will be…

I also live about 4 miles downhill from my gym and I ride my bike there. As mentioned above, the cycling can be treated as a warm-up. I find that it doesn't affect my performance at the gym. If you're worried about being too tired for maximum performance, then my advice to you is: take it easy - pedal at a relaxed pace and…

Went to the gym and swimming. Probably horseback riding later today. Exercise-wise doing very well today :) Have all my meals planned out, too, so I just need to stick to the plan and today will be easy!

Hi! Name's Jodi, but usually just Jo. I'm pretty much from all over the world (seriously, never really settle down). I'm 5 ft 5 in (165 cm) and 145 lbs (66 kg). My goal is to be 127 lbs by the end of the year and, ultimately, 120 lbs. I will achieve this by being very active; cycling everywhere, going swimming, running,…

It's a bit more restricted in food choices, but seafood and eggs are good low-carb choices (unless you're very strict or vegan, which I'm not) and things like cottage cheese, cheese, halloumi, and tofu are also part of my diet.

Are you getting enough fat in your diet? I've heard of someone being tired from keto and increasing fat helped. Or then it could be keto flu - check that you're getting enough sodium, potassium, and magnesium.

I'll be starting keto again tomorrow :) Kinda excited/nervous - I already tried it once for 5 days and felt great, but now I haven't been able to get it started again... I'm hoping that posting here will make me more accountable and motivate me to start again. Please feel free to add me as a friend and make me even more…
