I had the same experience when I bought my HRM. The numbers on the HRM are the most accurate.

Actually, I've had the opposite experience. Four of my friends have joined MFP since I told them about it!

I use a POLAR FT7 about $75. I Love It!

Good job! You Look Great!

I look at myself every day and realize I actually like myself again. I don't want to go back to hating seeing my appearance. That's how I stay on track.

Tasha is right. This is NOT a diet, since you are making all the rules yourself. It's a lifestyle change, and the reason it will work is because it comes from YOU. Nobody but you will judge your results (certainly not anyone on MFP). Whether you lose 5 or 500 pounds, you will get nothing but love and encouragement from…

I have been going to Planet Fitness since the beginning of my weight loss journey. I ave been very impressed by their customer service. They create a nice warm atmosphere to work out in, their equipment is modern and well maintained, and their facilities are clean and inviting. There are trainers that walk the floor and…

It would depend on the sodium in the packets. High sodium tends to make you retain water. Otherwise, yes!

I found that since I got a Heart Rate Monitor, the real calories burned are significantly lower than the gym machines tell you.

I have a Polar FT7. It is waterproof and I swim with it all the time. It seems very accurate.

Since I started running, I have also felt this pain in my knee and calves. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't seem as severe as yours. It hurts most when I'm laying down and then when I get up, Wow! But it goes away quickly the more I use my legs. I don't really have health insurance so I can't see a Dr. about it.

I know what you mean. While my partner supports my weight loss, she's also really into baking and is constantly making high sugar and caloric desserts and pouts when I don't eat them. It seems like she just doesn't get it.

Midnight Irwin...sounds like a sex position.

I agree. Do what works for you. I workout hard almost every day and couldn't eat back all those calories. When I try to, I end up eating unhealthy and I feel bloated and gain weight. If you're not hungry, have energy and feel healthy, then you're ok. Listen to your body

Right now I'm trying to lose weight very quickly, so I try to burn about 1000. Pretty soon I'll reach my goal weight and probably cut that in half.
-
Thank you . That seems helpful. Thanks for looking at my diary. I'm switching into maintenance mode, so I will eat a little more and work out a little less.

I've been in this for 3 months now. The weight started coming off slowly, then steadily, but this week...ZOOM! I guess I shouldn't complain.
-
Congrats ! I'm totally jealous (in a good way). You help inspire me toward my goals. Thank you!

Here's their website http://www.kfc.com/nutrition/ Roughly 1800 for 10 pieces (mixture of wings, drumsticks, breasts, and thighs).

"I weigh in every morning just before my shower. Weighing in each morning allows me to see an accurate picture of my weight over a period of time. I know that each morning I haven't eaten or consumed any liquids in at least 8 hours. That's the only way to have consistency if you weigh in daily. " That's pretty much my…

I get great motivation from this site! Welcome aboard. Feel free to add me!

I also started by logging my food and it really helped, even if it just told me when to stop. Then I started exercising, especially if I knew I was going to eat alot that day (or drink as it were), knowing if I burned a lot I could eat more. Then I started weighing myself and I've lost some weight. If nothing else, it…

I fill mine out starting with my weigh in the first thing in the morning. Then I just track things as I do them. I log each meal as I eat it and log my exercise as it's being done. At the end of the day I close it.
