I've found that when I'm just getting started, cardio will get you good weight loss. When I run or ride my bike a lot, it's almost a struggle to eat enough. Then I started adding strength workouts to kick it up a notch. The diet aspect for me is more about nutritional awareness than weight loss.

Are hyphens allowed? If so, the word would be six-pack. If not, then I'll have to go with sexyness. For it is my mission in life to pull a Timberlake and bring sexy back.

The way I see it, when you start referring to yourself as an adult, other people will expect you to make responsible choices. And who wants that?
-
I weighed in at 200 this morning. I've been getting down on myself recently because I've gained 30 lbs since I got married last year (on the 28th!), but my wife and I are starting to make the changes necessary to get back to where I want to be!
-
I sure hope that 22 still counts, because I'm 24, and I'm hardly comfortable considering myself an "adult" at all!

One thing you might try if you like parties is to host them. Game nights, Movie nights, marathon TV watching parties, or even more off the wall stuff (My parties involve a lot of sitting, lol). If you don't like going to parties where you're the only one not using, then you can take the reigns! There is no such thing as a…

It all comes down to priorities. If exercise is not a priority, then of course there's no time for it! At the same time, I see my wife wake up with me at 7 every morning, come home at 7 every night and lock herself in the office to work until 10. That is a person who doesn't have time to work out.

I'm really trying to get more involved with other posters. I've always appreciated a good WTG when I drop a pound or log a burn! I've been slipping myself, and could use all the encouragement I can get!

I've been around this site for almost 2 years, but this last year has not been kind to me. I stopped logging and gained 30 lbs back. I could for sure use some support and accountability from my fellow 20 somethings, and would love to give it!

I honestly don't know what to tell you. I'm a liquor man myself, and most shots run about 70 calories. Logging them all gets to be a problem when you hit that point where you start taking shots you don't quite remember taking... But seriously, I've seen commercials for this new brand called "Skinny girl" that makes vodka…

I am all about the freedom to eat whatever I want in moderation. Granted, sometimes I get into a pattern of eating the same thing every day because it's working, but variety is a very good thing! Also, ice cream, cake, and candy are just too good to let go of!

If I got more texts, I'm sure I would have the same reaction! No pot would be safe! lol I had the chest open for my email for a while. It got old after a while, so I changed it to the alert. It makes me jump every time, but it's over quickly. I don't even need to break out my cardboard box anymore! Your dad sounds like an…

When I get a text, I get Navi from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time saying "Hey, Listen!" My email alert is the alert sound from Metal Gear Solid. I'm a huge nerd. I'm proud of my sound scheme!

My wife tells me I look like a young Robert Downey Jr. I of course take this to mean that I'm destined to one day become Iron Man.

I went vegetarian for Lent this year, and I loved it way more than I thought I would. It was hard to smell meat without salivating for the whole duration, but it was worth it! I really dove into research mode to make sure i was getting everything I needed. I also toyed around with the idea of going full vegan, but I never…

It could be any number of things. What I imagine it probably is is that you're not sitting on it right. You can adjust how far forward or back the seat is, or if you don't want to do it yourself you can take it to a bike shop and have them take a look. If that doesn't help, you may need a new seat or a padded cover. Also,…

Congrats on kicking out the cankles! Its always nice to see those little things that remind you how far you've come. Its easy to get bogged down by seeing how far you have left to go, but those little NSVs are great at keeping your head in the game! Way to go!

Denton is where I hang my hat (Or at least I would if I wore one!) Welcome to the site, feel free to add me if you like!
-
I've been noticing that too, actually. One of the people on my list who was my biggest support hasn't logged in in over a month! Add me if you like, I try to comment as much as I can, and always appreciate an addaboy when I get one!

Yee-haw Texas! (That just doesn't feel right to me...I'm a city boy!) I'm in Denton for the foreseeable future, and I love it! Feel free to add me!

I know, right? There are still some things I don't get, but that's the big one. I can pretend for the rest!

Do not feed the trolls... The purpose of this study (That feeding cats processed over raw foods led a deterioration in overall health across generations) is alarming, especially considering that the human diet in developed countries is following that trend. Not to say that people and cats eat the same things. Except for…

Ride at least 10 miles/week Lift at least once/week Run at least twice/week I don't get much time for exercise between work, school, and wedding planning/relationship building with my fiance. Gotta get it where I can!

Yeah, I've been told that the Corinth Cycling Club is a good resource, but they do all their stuff when I'm sleeping lol. I got on meetup, and I either don't know how to use it or there's not anything in my area. I'll for sure look into those resources!

She really did mean well. But yes, no filter there lol. She walked off talking with someone else about how she wants to lose some weight. I walked into work smiling and laughing at the way she said it. I thought it was hilarious!

That's a good one. And really, that's where I'm at right now. I did it in two parts. I logged the first part, but not the second. Actually, that was the first time I ever did it. I was pretty excited about it! Really it's not the doing of the stuff, it's the monotany of logging it all in. I'm going to stick with it no…

I moved to Wichita Falls when I was 1 year old and grew up there. Then I went to Plainview (Between Lubbock and Amarillo) for college, and now I'm in Denton for grad school. It's great seeing so many people from this state!
