Extended length if employment is no excuse for poor job performance. You should be expected to maintain a certain level of optimal fitness the entire duration of service.

My favorite is when there's some big fat winded cop trying to chase a spry young kid hopping fences and such. Always makes me wonder why that's even allowed in law enforcement. But honestly, I'm just here because the OP and handcuffs look like they'd go super well together. Hot stuff!
